Michael Jackson -ticketmaster Shame!!

Like many of you I have tried to get tickets for Michael Jackson shows, ticketmaster are an absolute disgrace, I have more faith in Icelandic banks (and I warned against them) then this shameful company!!
Like many I registered to get a presale code, the second the tickets went on sale for the presale I was on the ticketmaster site. Every ticket I was I offered was for the worst possible seat, one was even behind the stage!! During the day more dates were added, on 20 occasions I just happened to refresh as the date was added, as soon as I tried to buy a ticket, only the crap tickets (top tier row z) for full price were on offer that was within 10 seconds of them being announced!!!!
The website then crashed so each try would take 40 minutes!! And on most occasions at the end of the 40 minutes I got an error.
So this happened all day up to the end of presale the next day.
Today on general sale the website crashed again even though ticketmaster knew it was happening during pre-sale, muppets!!!
But here is the sneaky part, I believe the promoters are playing a disgraceful trick.
Tickets are still available, if you choose a VIP package (which covers all floor seats and the first 20 rows of the best tiers!). That is several thousand seats if not more. Except they cost £800 each. I also believe they have sold massive chunks to outside agencies and kept the crap for themselves which they knew they could flog to die hard jacko fans in the presale. These tickets are still available EVEN NOW (7.30pm) from ticketmaster.
This happened when prince played at the O2 then as the dates got closer and nobody paid the stupid prices ticketmaster suddenly declared seats were available.
Magic!!! they created seats, seats that were always there and what were these magic seats.... the same bloody seats they were trying to sell for hundreds....remember this is weeks after saying they had all sold out.
The same will happen with jacko, there is no way they are going to sell all the ticktes they hold at £800 each, also the agents that have bought these tickets in massive numbers will give them back to the promoter and then magic they will announce new seats. Also because you can buy the tickets online and then re-sell them without ever planning on coming most of these tickets have gone to re-sellers.
So don’t buy the tickets at inflated prices from re-sellers, wait and more tickets will become available. People in Korea, Sri Lanka etc etc....complete shambles.
The reason fans have not got tickets is not because they sold out, but because the promoter flogged them to agencies.
Finally there is still a possibility of more dates being added, so don’t pay the high prices and you will suddenly find tickets appear, well done AEG and Ticketmaster, you shafted everyone, lets hope there aren’t empty stadiums when people in Korea don’t turn up and couldn’t re-sell. Wonderful it will do wonders for t-shirt sales!

I had VIP tickets for Cher at the NEC - that was expensive but well worth it. Magical experience.
If you really want to see Jacko go for it. I used to like his music but the accusations of child abuse ruined it for me. Just don't feel the same way about him now0 -
I've been top a few gigs recently where there have been touts outside trying to sell off tickets (hehe).
Also, I don't like the O2, and if you are near the back you are a LONG way away.0 -

I think u need to grow up and get over yourself!
there were at least 1 mill hittin the site tryna get tickets also from abroad! along with SEE. unless u camped at the arena OR was in the phone Q before 7 you had NO chance of decent seats. ALSO the presale released HALF of all tickets which i think was a MASSIVE mistake as it left people with even less chance today.
be thankful you got so far, others wernt even able to get to the MJ page to select!
as you had 'tried' from opening of presale, you ovilly didnt try hard enough. tickets on sale for two whole days and you fail to get one 'decent'.
TM arent the only resellers of 02 events, see and gigantic also sell. not for EVERY 02 event but for alot of them. had it only been TM, the site woulda crashed completely.
I take it you wont be using TM again. Thery will not miss you with this attitude! good luck with ebay...0 -
I have to say... If I was a fan I would be VERY tempted to pick up the VIP package even at the high price of £750 each! It sounds like an amazing night and something you wouldn't forget in a long long long time!
I'm not sure if if he will even make it past 1 show personally...... I do hope however that he performs amazingly at everyone!0 -

Yeah I agree - that's why I posted about the Cher concert I went to. I still remember it and how much fun it was. Even the parking right by the door and the pre and interval meals. Fabulous! Totally cool experience.0 -
I didn't have too much of a problem. kept offering bad seats, but then I realised that it would be better not to use the "Best Available" option.
Got two tickets for middle tier, block 106 row H. I'm quite happy with the location, directly facing the stage. Just hope he completes the tour, as i'm booked for January. My farts hospitalize small children0 -
We had a similar experience to dreamypuma. We got good tickets but it did take five and a half hours to get them. We're in the 100 blocks, in line with the A floor seats (sorry can't remember exact block but they are good seats). It was worth sticking at.
Plenty of my friends are moaning that they didn't get tickets but they left their PCs and the frustration of the TM website before the concerts sold out - so who is to blame?
And as for seats at the back of the O2 being bad, think back to the stadium gigs. I'd much rather see him from the back of the O2 than (as I did) from the back of the old Wembley Stadium. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing?
