Value of Antique Chairs?

Hope this is the best place to post this...
Has anybody here got any knowledge of antique furniture, specifically antique chairs?
I have 6 of these chairs in in the loft and know that they are very old but am wondering if anybody can identify them further or offer any information whatsoever?
If anybody knows of somewhere better to post my question then feel free to post a link - I havent had much luck finding somewhere decent to ask some 'professionals'!
Thanks for all replies.

You might try a local auction house for a valuation, then you can decide whether or not to let them sell them for you. They would be sold as a restoration project, just remember though that their selling fees may easily be 25% of the hammer price.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. They're in the Queen Anne style, but I don't think they're of that actual period.
From what I can see they look like early 20th century reproductions - possibly around the 1920s era.
Do take them to your local auction house though; you can't always tell from a photo."I'm ready for my close-up Mr. DeMille...."0 -
Thanks both. I thought they were Queen Anne style but am not sure of what period. We believe that they are at least of 1920's as they have been sitting in a loft for most of their life. The upholstery has long since fallen apart which would suggest they are quite old. The wood underneath is quite light but we are not sure what it could be.0

Might be worth Googling to see if there are any specialist fora on the subject.
I had some silver items and found a very helpful group where you could upload a picture and get some input.0 -
I have tried but havent come across anywhere that looked remotely alive!0

Most auction houses will give you an estimate just from emailing in a photo. Send those pics in to your local auction house and see what they sayNot been here in years! Hi everyone. Make £10 a day challenge = £78.45/1550

The upholstery has not fallen apart. The seats are missing.0 -
You are very smart! Or perhaps the seats have been taken off because they have.... 'fallen apart'.
Thanks for sensible posts.0 -

Actually the seats and the upholstery are two different things. A novice restorer would probably prefer to buy chairs with the frame work of the seats intact so that they can restuff and recover/re upholster. Making new seat frames is a job for a more experienced restorer but I'm sure you'll find someone who will relish that challenge.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
