If she is serious about being a vet she will need to get loads of relevant experience too. It is notoriously hard to get into even with experience. A school friend of mine had excellent A grades at A level, and still couldn't get it. Sounds like she is on the right track though.4 is the national average at that age ;) so you must be proud.

Ambition is good. I was thinking to myself of setting a target of being 40, and any earlier would be a fab bonus. So my two would be nearly 11 and 13 by then, and it would give me spare cash then for the extra-curricular stuff and driving/Uni whatever. Although i think they are expensive now with nappies/baby milk i am sure really costs will shoot up when they discover brands and have wants rather than needs.

I figure they aren't suffering now by having primark clothes and not going on pricy day trips and things.

I agree kids do not need brand names stuff before they reach high school, and then i believe it becomes a want, not necessarily a need. I won't have my children bullied for being tight though, i was for a while and its no fun. When i was 14 i asked a girl at school where did she buy her belt from, she replied TopShop, i thought she meant a local shop up her street!!!! I still did not know what top shop was until i was 17:eek: . AS for pricey day trips, i waited for mine to get older for that stuff. I want them to be able to remember it. When we go off on one that does cost a bomb we tend not to take little squiggle as he holds the day back for the older ones.

As for DD i am proud as punch and as for heading towards a level 6 i know thats fantastic i am always being told how forward she is. But then i have done lots at home with all my kids. On the other hand my 9 year old son is at level 3 for everything except reading which he is a level 2. He can read quite well now but he cannot seem to comprehend it. We have just started extra on this.
Can you believe it? I have asked if any of the TA's want to do private reading with ds, i offered £20 per hour, no one come forward. 15 minutes a day for 4 days they would hardly feel it. Oh well i suppose its down to me.

    Good afternoon everyone

Its been an expensive sort of month this month too and did not expect to pay so much. Really quite chuffed with myself.

As for the shopping well uh uhm, i haven't done well and need my wrist slapping. I haven't cut down this week at all, in fact i have spent even more than usual. So to stay in check i need to get on this site for motivation a little more often.

The money i save, i am going to join a GYM i know its not very MSE but i was a sports nut upto having dd and i really want to get fit again plus i know spending that kind of money will amke me go the bonus is the gym i have chosen is not far at all from where i live and they have a creche facilty:T

    Have a good day y'all x

Nice payment there Chunky. You are beating me. I am at 55,213.26 today. I'll catch you up though. ;)

My rate drops tomorrow, and i have scheduled about £60 to go into the mortgage tomorrow.

I went back to work yesterday, and the 1st thing i found was my p60, and i earned about £5000 less than the tax credits people think i did, so i should get a bit of a lump sum from them fairly soon once i kick DH's butt to get his p60 too.

Since i last posted, i found out i needed glasses, so i had to fork out a couple of hundred on that, but i found out my westfield healthcare that work pays for, so i can claim some of that back.

Good luck with stopping smoking. That will improve your cashflow.

balds60 hopefully not as bad as you fear for the MOT.

Best go, DS1 not very happy with me for ignoring him.

    Michelle, x

Balds60, hope the MOT doesn't end up being too costly for you x

    evab Thankyou :D

Michelle, you feel free to catch me up hun i will be delighted for you when you do. Good thing you get westfield for the glasses. I hope you do get a lump sum from tax credits, that will be a nice little bonus for you. How is it going back at work? I felt like i had never been away:rolleyes: .

I have decided i am going to be an MP, no threat of job loss unless hubby buys some self indulgent DVD's and they get pay rises even in a recession:eek: . Can you learn to be a pathological liar or is is a built in mechanism?

Take care y'all, have got to go to work early today x
