Does T-mobile Friends and family discount apply to mobile BB?

Hi all,
I am in the lucky position of having the F+F discount for life with T-mobile. My contract is up on the March 28th. I am keen to secure a good retention deal (hopefully?!) but would also like to take out a new mobile BB contract with them as well. Would this also benefit from the 50% discount? By taking out this new mobile BB contract would it give me more sway it getting a good retention deal?
