First of all your back muscles need to get working by you somehow getting exercise.A trapped nerve in the lower back is a common thing with flat feet similiar to sciatica. When you go bed try laying on your side with a pillow between you knees when you bend them.

I thought rheumatoid arthritis was diagnosed on a blood test?

Not in all cases - my missus has suffered from RA from her early teens. She has the classic symptoms; thumbs bent back at almost 90 degrees, severe joint pains/swelling, a lump of 'gristle' caused by RA removed from her knee joint, etc.

Despite all this, her blood tests have never shown her to have RA
  • You need to get your butt in gear and sort your health out ASAP! Only YOU can do this.

Get to your GP as soon as you possibly can and state how much pain you are in. If no luck there, then go to A&E and don't budge till they take you seriously.

It is not normal for an 18yr to be in this much pain and a good doctor will help you if they think you are genuine.

I have never heard of so many problems with lost blood tests or scans:confused: ...I would change hospitals if I were you.

    Good luck.

Saucy, your benefits situation is a bit complicated because of your age, please see your local CAB or PM me your county and I can find out if there's any specialist young people's advisers in your area. Job Centre staff get a bit confused and I'd hate for you to end up on the wrong benefit.
