Should have looked here first!!!!
I ordered two vesa mount brackets for monitors on the 6th of October, (they debited my card immediately) they sent an email on the 12th october saying they were dispatched (note they said when ordering next day dispatch) so far, three emails and no goods- applying to Barclaycard to have the money returned today0 -
I can't belive this company are still doing this and getting away with it. (see my post above). Without a doubt the worst place I've ever used.
I spend 6 months asking for a refund, eventually threat of legal action and numerious interventions by Trading Standards was the only route.
I think they stall for as long as they can till you're outside your chargeback period with your credit card hoping you'll just forget about it.0 -
Bought an item from Computer Webstore on 27.10.2009. They claim it's been shipped on 4th of November, but the item has not arrived yet. I am eager to believe it's a scam - I'll be definitely contacting my credit card issuer after 30 days from purchase to cancel the order straightaway.0

A bunch of sad tales indeed. On November 18th without researching this company (big mistake) I ordered an Archos 7 Media Tablet from this company, as there was no specific mention of delivery times on the website only testimonials showing delighted custmers getting there goods within two or three days I followed the web based order with an email stating that I needed the goods with one week or they could cancel the order. I immediately checked with the Credit Card who said the payment had gone through already. Needless to say the promised email reply within 48 hours didn't happen and to date (two weeks later) I haven't had a single reply to any of the 12 seperate emails I have sent them, my order still shows as open and processing on their site.
I contacted both Trading Standards and Liverpool Police who were already aware of this company and are 'investigating' Last week I sent them a registered letter informing them of my intentions and requesting a refund within 7 days. To date I have not had a reply.
Contacting the credit card it appears according to them that I have to give the company 30 days to deliver or refund despite telling them I wanted the goods in a week, the card company say that there is no problem and that they will chargeback the money for me, however it leaves me in a position of not having the goods and not daring to oder from somewhere else in case this shower decide to send the goods.
You may say why not then return the goods for a full refund, if you check their terms and conditions they need to issue you with a returns identification number by email or otherwise they do not accept the delivery and this has to be done within 7 days of receipt of the goods - my experience with their response to emails doesn't make me feel secure about getting any kind of refund for returned goods.
IN OTHER WORDS TAKE HEED IF YOU ARE THINKING ABOUT ORDERING FROM THIS COMPANY THEN DON'T0 -
thanks for that, will avoid i think.

I am a recent victim of Computerwebstore. I ordered a product in September 2009, they took payment the next day via Visa Debit. After many problems with this company I decided to call trading standards, they advised me to cancel my order under the Consumer Protection Regulations 2000, this means they legally have 30 days to pay me my refund. They failed to do this, I therefore have to claim my money back via my banks fraud department.
