Was that through regular phone banking or with their ISA dept as the number in Post 1 is no longer valid ?

The ISA number in post 1 is a typo. It should be 0800 015 0060

Yes, I found it through Lloyds website and just transferred mine which only took a couple of minutes, but thanks anyway.

My Lloyds TSB 6.5% FRISA matures in May and I'll probably transfer it to Cheltenham & Gloucester 2yr FRISA which pays 3.5% for balances over £30,000 ...it's actually fixed until 30th June 2011...slightly more than 2 years!
I'm surprised no-one else seems to have found this...though it doesn't seem to appear in any best buy ISA tables...details below:

Personally, I wouldn't fix for two years in the current financial climate - for me, the LTSB 'Early Bird' offer at 3.75% for 12 months gave much more flexibilty to reassess the state of play next March.

The C&G FRISA appears to require that you also commit to pay your 2009/10 Cash ISA allowance into the FRISA, in addition to transferring previous tax year's/years' funds.

Fixing for 2 years is not advisable I think. I would be very surprised if the rates aren't higher by this time next year.

I don't see that one advertised. Is it only offered to current ISA account holders? I have had a current (classic) account with LTSB for 36 years.

It was offered to select Lloyds ISA holders, early in the year. Not sure what the criteria was. There appeared to be no rhyme nor reason.

The criteria appeared to have been arbitrary - I wasn't offered it, but an assertive phone call to them just before the offer closed brought the necessary information & application form.
