Anyone got the Samsung RSG5DUMH US fridge freezer

We have the older (3.5 years) Samsung with the design fault:rolleyes:
The water despenser has packed up, again:rolleyes: The fan gets noisy sometimes & I've just noticed its not nearly as cold as it should be, but the LCD still says it is cold:mad:
Thinking a repair will be expensive & DH has been moaning for a while that we need a bigger one.
Anyone got those new, thin skinned Samsungs that have the 100 litters more capacity for the same size & they are susposed to keep food fresher longer

Looked at the rewies on them & they do score highly.

The thing that most drives me to this one, we ALWAYS have a jug of water on our table with dinner, the old one had a short space for the water/ice despenser, this one is extra tall:D

I know it sound silly but that was one of my greatest bug bears with the old one & I want my next one to have a big enough despenser to get a water jug in properly, so it doesn't drip down the sides as I fill.

No one???
Looked at them in the flesh so to speak today.
Love the size & the tall water dispenser, love all the drawers & door holders in the fridge & the extra freezer space.
The ONLY thing I didn't like, is the filter is inside the fridge & its NOT the torpedo style one where you can get cheapies on the internet, its a special bottle style one & they are about £60    Every 6 months:eek:  :eek:0 -
No advice
If I was to buy it, where & how much could/should I sell my 3.5 year old Samsung RS21DCNS1/XEU for (after the man fixes it on Monday?
Ebay?
Gotta pay for the free ads paper if its over £50.
Don't think I've ever sold a kitchen appilance before.0 -
No replies at all???
Not even advice on where/how to sell the old one??0 -
I wouldn't mind one if the price was right if you would like to sell it to me...
I must admit i am finding it harder to find things for sale nowadays, what used to be the local papers and freeads have died a death. Auction sites people tend to snipe at the last minute so unless you sit in and do the same its hard to win anything.
What about notice boards at supermarkets, i always look at them and there seem to be others looking too.0 -

The new one is being delivered Wednesday:o
Do I stick it in a short ebay session.
I would sell it gladly to anyone, but they are HEAVY & ENORMOUS, the person picking it up will need a van or trailor, now way would it go in an estate car.
Thats the problem with them the size & weight.
I'm in East Surrey - Tandridge borough to anyone thats interested.0 -
MrsE, i have sent you a pm, what colour is it???0

UPDATE
They called today (without the part - despite knowing the problem:rolleyes: ). To tell me the part is on order & they will be back Saturday to fit.
Good job I didn't ebay it yet:rolleyes:0 -
how did you get samsung to fix it, when they only said they would repair the rs21s. Are they repairing all the faulty ones for free now? My water dispenser has frozen yet again, but it's about 6 years old.
you are brave buying another samsung. I wouldn't.0
