 Morning all!
Oh my goodness, I haven't been around for ages! Although I am more of a lurker than a poster, so no one will have known the difference anyway! (see, this is why I don't post much, too much irrelevant rambling goes on!)
Hope everyone having a good day, not much on for me, work later on, but feet up for now
feet up, sounds like a plan binty!
and as for irrelevent ramblings, you're in good company there!!!Queen.Bess wrote: »Morning Everyone - Happy Red Nose Day! I'm sat here dressed 'casual' with a red top on and my Red Nose sat on my desk!
Did any of you watch the Kilimanjaro doc last night - see what some of you might be letting yourselves in for?! I thought they were brilliant and it was such a great achievement for them all!
Good Luck with the quiz Red and Congratulations to Bookie - not yet caught up with yesterday's thread, but it's wonderful news! Happy Friday 13th I_A!!and Go for it Bunny - I wish I could book a holiday for this year - give me something to look forward to! Have quite a few irons in the fire so to speak, but nothing definite. Fingers crossed job wise Ruby hopefully you'll hear something soon! And how did you do last night Maz? With me, it's a case of don't ask, I was so upset as well - very embarassing!
Have a good day Len - the weather looks to be OK for England, but a bit cold over here in the East at the moment, but I think that's mainly to do with our heating being broken in the office!
Have a good day all! QBx

I had an offer phonecall and email. I would have just turned up if there hadn't been an email saying not to do that. Apparently there are two groups that they are training, the first lot were due to start in Feb, but they hadn't finished all the pre-employment checks and there were talks of people just turning up on the start date. So the people emailed round and said 'Don't do that'Not an expert, but I try and contribute and I'll always listen. Middle child of middle child parents. I drink way too much coffee.

It's thru
www.alditravel.co.uk
and includes flights etc. Very limited time you can travel etc. Have called DH and he's having a hard time getting the time off work grrrrrrrrrrr and is saying we *may* run into trouble with my family as we have all been invited to my cousins wedding and said we couldnt afford it-basically would have cost £2500 for FLIGHTS only for the family and that's not spending money, car etc etc...
and DH is complaining because it would be 40 degrees!?!?! the man is demented...Empty pockets never held anyone back, only empty heads and empty hearts can do that -Peale0 -
Yes, Bunny the man is demented.
I must just say on the job front..what makes it okay for a man to do a job he loves while the wife has to 'make do' cos of the odd hours.........surely there is a compromise here Bunny. Not one to look on the negative side but you may apply and not get in, but if you do nothing you may regret it.
I would apply anyway, surely surely you could try to work round shifts when the time comes......Quality is doing something right when no one is looking - Henry Ford

I agree Sammy...and can i just say I about to thump the !!!!!!, wa*kers from HSBC....am so mad I could cry ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Where can I find what the banking code is?? Woman who has just phoned me said they are bound by banking code to have to see SOA before they can consider my F&F..she couldn't get it through her thick head that it wouldn't be relevant as DH is being made redundant and therefor it would all change in 2 months...!!!!!! are they really that stupid. Then I did get into a little rant and went off on one about what an awful bank they were and how unfair they were to people who were struggling in this awful climate.
deep breaths and relaxI'll make a wish, take a chance, make a change And breakaway. I'll take a risk, take a chance, make a change and breakaway ....

Sent them another email. Also traweling through the other emails for a phone number, though one of them says there is no need to ring for updates. Easy for them to say!
Gotta say, I feel like a fool now, ok, walking out was the best thing for me mentally, but finacially, it was very, very, very, very stupid.
Edit: Go for the job, Bunny, we need more CSO's!Not an expert, but I try and contribute and I'll always listen. Middle child of middle child parents. I drink way too much coffee.
