Is it just me or is there something wrong with Virgin Media's pricing?

Broadband XXL + Phone M = £35 a month
Broadband XXL only = £50 a month?

Why is getting a phone line for an extra £11 a month (total £46) actually make it cheaper?

Last year I was paying £87 for 1 x V+ box & 1 x normal box both had all regular channels (not movies or sports), free 01 calls all day and night and 15 meg BB.

I noticed there VIP package was only £85 and I could get faster BB, international caller, sky movies and sky sports!

So I ended up getting more services for less money.... I love it lol

They structure their pricing so that taking more than one service results in discounts (as there is the opportunity for them to earn money overall).

Seems strange, but if it saves money, always worth looking at the various options.
