Completed a course from this company a while back but just after (1 year ago) I applied to do another and never heard from them so I guess they're inundated with applications.

Read all the messages here. Rather concerned. Does anyone know of a course on 'how to apply for a course - the successful way' ?

If you know any adults from abroad now living in the UK, they may well be able to attend English classes (ESOL) either free or at reasonable cost. They should enquire at their local council "Adult Learning Centre". Similarly classes are often run for any of us who want to brush up on our English, Numeracy and sometimes computer knowledge. I`m an ESOL tutor myself.0

Hi
As a mum of 3 I wanted to do something for "me" and i am part way through a FREE Vision2 Learn online course "web entrepeneur", when i tried about a year ago there were no places available in my area so its worth keep trying.
I am finding it a useful way to get back into studying and although the beginning of the course if basic it does boost your confidence to send in assignments and get good feedback and passes from your online tutor.
I am now starting the second unit of the course about web design which is the part of the course i was most interested in and i'm sure i will learn lots.

I signed up for one of their IT NVQ courses & was doing it through the Walsall College, I signed up in August last year and then I heard nothing else. Then in October I had a phone call asking why I hadn't logged on & started. I said because I haven't heard anything etc.. and this was just the beginning. I completed the coursework in 3 weeks as I already know IT and just wanted the piece of paper. They then kept me hanging on until Jan this year & said I had to go in for an assessment (The assessment was 3 multiple choice questions that a 10yr old could answer and I had to do a round trip from stafford at 4pm in an afternoon!!!). Then another 4 weeks later I had to go in for another assessment, I did this again. Then another 3/4 weeks later I had to go & do another one!!!
To cut a long story short the college did not know what they were doing with the course and despite finishing the coursework in October last year I still have not got anywhere near a qualification from them.0 -

I did this course a while back.
The second part is probably more interesting as most people know how to send emails and the like (what's included in the first part).
The third part which is about using your knowledge as an entrepreneur on the web (and thus gives the course its title) is actually unsupported as far as teacher input is concerned. You are actually on your own with the learning material. However, the paper qualification is given for parts 1 and 2, so you don't actually have to do anything on the third part.
I trust you will continue to enjoy working on the course and get your certificates in due course. (You do get more than one because of the different parts.)0 -
