It is August so the demand for economy seats will be high, indirect carriers such as Emirates, Etihad and Qatar airways may offer cheaper seats than BA, Singapore Airlines, also consider Air Asia via KUL.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0

Look at Airasia,
London > Kuala Lumpur > Singapore
Probably going to be the lowest price if you can cope with budget long haul. I actually use them a lot for short flight and find them to be good value.0 -

Emirates or Royal Brunei around the £550 mark from Heathrow (12-22 Aug) from www.travelsupermarket.com , a flight comparison site. Excellent fares!!RIP independent MSE.

So I would need to look at booking in several sectors? I am still looking, Qatar airways is cheapest but 21 hours outgoing... any idea if 'sales' might appear for august period (now looking at 1 august for around 10 days + or - a couple of days).Look at Airasia,

Erm, I doubt it? Care to share?
Re: Singapore. Go two weeks later, prices drop around 10/15 August.
Singapore Airlines, non stop, on A380's. £450. 16-26 August.0 -

I would be surprised to see any sales at that time (although in today's climate, who knows). Traditionally the start of the school holidays is a busy time, particularly with through traffic to Oz; which is why the indirect carriers are more likely to offer the best value.
All you can do is check price comparison sites (more than one because they all have different relationships) and find the airline with the most convenient flights at a price you feel comfortable with.0 -

It's an offer on certain Emirates package holidays where they give you a free upgrade to Business from Economy.
Don't think it applies here to Singapore though..only Dubai, Muscat, Mauritius, Maldives, Seychelles, Columbo, Cape
Town, Johannesburg, Durban.0 -
I went last year and booked around this time. I paid £550 and kept an eye on prices to see if they went down or up. They kept going up but whether it will be the same this year I don't know. I went with qatar.0

As someone else said, Singapore airlines direct £450, plus you get to fly on the A380. If you've doing economy, I'd rather go on that as it's supposed to be far more comfortable - even if you manage to get it 100 quid cheaper, by stopping over somewhere, I'd rather not save that 100quid!0
