Got a snotty SA today - was just really jobs worth. grr
got avene bag and total effects face wash with skincare voucher
5 x bodyform (5 vouchers)
tiklyx cough syrup £2.29 200 points
no17 wipe and brush
decided to make it up to £10 plus with a meal deal as i had a 75 points voucher in post and 75 from the machine.
snotty cow said i could only use one meal deal voucher (despite being diff vouchers) i kept saying, will you scan it and see - but she woulndn't. proceeded to check everything and didn't scan 2 no 17 vouchers (cant remember if its needed)
anyway, didn't do too badly, but still can't add it up
payed £7ish
got 400 bonus points and 81 regular points.
i'd also handed over a 50 extra points on a ten pound spend. totally confused...
i figure i should have had 200 cough points, 100 no 17, 75 meal, 50 total spend...
ah well. can't complain can i0 -

I think it's near to right...
The 100 voucher for the No17 only needs one voucher for both or more items and probably accounts for half of the 400 extra points, along with the Tixylix 200.
The regular points on your spend would have been c.29, so I think either the 75 or the 50 is in there - probably the 75 as normal points don't go on with some extra points deals. The 50 probably didn't work as it came in under £10 to pay.
Shame she wouldn't even try the meal deal coupons from both sources - I'm hoping to use machine and magazine coupons for a Jemma Kidd lipstick next week and hope I don't get a refusal. It's taken me ages to decide that yes I will allow myself to buy it at a point-stacking 'discount'...Do I Need One Stops All Unnecessary Reckless Spending£2 CSC - £30 :kisses3:0 -

Bought Boots FRESH "A recipe for Super Smooth skin"..It's pina colada body scrub and a strawberry face scrub with a Body polishing sponge...They were in a set and were £2.50 for the set..The Pina colada body scrub on it's own is £3.49..When I got to the till she said "These are BOGOF too...."..I ran and got another..They are only advertised as a third off in boots and not BOGOF..£2.50 is a great price for 2 sets..Not sure how much they were originally...In a box with pink card and a pink scrunchy thing...0

Somebody mentioned a while ago about their receipt saying "you have one more use of your double points coupon" even though they were sure they had used it twice. This also happened to me so I emailed Boots the other day and got an email back saying they were crediting my AC with 250 points as a goodwill gesture. I deffo used my voucher twice but hey, I'm not complaining. Happy daysHe who smiles rather than rages is always

No bargains to report here since I haven't been into a Boots shop for over a week ( ) but had to say I just almost literally PMSL at people putting debit cards into the ACM etc. A few weeks ago at Asda I handed over a gift card to use off my shopping, then when the SA asked for the remainder, I handed over my Boots card. She was like, err ... I don't think we can take them. DH was tickled pink and took the mick out of me for the days afterwards!
On a different note, I wanted to recommend the Olay Total Effects hand treatment for anyone who's not sure what to do with their skincare vouchers. I'm a bit compulsive about cleaning my house and my hands get a right battering. Have used all kinds of hand creams in the past, TD, Nivea, DR, Avon, etc, but none even compare to the Olay, my hands are much softer and already look younger after only a week or so of using it. It's £5.99, so 99p with the voucher, and worth every penny! Watch out though that you don't pick up the Fragrance Free version and that is 50p more!! (No difference between both as far as I can tell, can't even detect any difference in scent between the fragrance free and ordinary.)
Finally, since there's only a few days left of this month, and if you haven't already, get yourselves over to the Post of the Month thread to nominate our dear Liverbird for all her hard work. Do it now!!! :rotfl:0
