Wanted your opinions, thing I've left it too late to go visiting family this weekend?

OH has worked the past 6 weekends, so we've not seen his family for a long time, and they don't drive so probably won't get a chance to see them after I've had the baby.

If I take my notes and everything, I should be okay for a 250 mile drive and an overnight stay?

Feelinggood - I can't really help you. Having no idea what travelling 250 miles whilst 38 weeks pg will be like. Good luck deciding.

I shall be travelling 350 miles on my own next week to do wedding preparation stuff over Easter in Pembrokeshire (where my family is) but OH can't come cause he is working/on a training course. But only thing I have to worry about at the mo is being sick in the car:eek: and making sure I can fit all the food I shall need next to me :D

AylesburyGirl - Yay on your scan! Did you find out what you are having, or is it a suprise? Enjoy all your shopping!

Karen - I think takeaway and icecream is the recommended course of action when faced with a lonely house. A good DVD and pillows in the middle of the bed are essential too.

Nicki - How annoying about the window! Last thing you want to be doing with littlies about is to be clearing up glass. Hope it doesn't incovience you too much.

Jillie - I am jealous of your eclair, I could do with one. I've been good today, had a bowl of cereal for breakfast and a kitkat. Got to be good so I can eat loads while I'm away this weekend! I think that pain often needs chocolate, so don't feel bad! Hope the pain eases soon :)

Tia - How is BP today? My Mum has a monitor, so I think if I do go home I'll pinch it for the last few weeks. Not sure how reliable they are, but might give me an indication. Any idea what BP does during a contraction?

Leopard - I found dry things good when I felt sick - biscuits, crisps. I had to avoid anything greasy or dairy based. Hope you find something that calms your belly down.

AnnieLove - Welcome! Good luck with the house move, hope it isn't too stressful. Just sit back and let OH do it all!

Tink - as ER isn't in HD, I'm saving the DVDs for after the baby is born and I can sit and watch them all in bed! I've got Season 11, 12 and 13 to watch, when I'm done with that, 14 will be out! Then I can go and watch them all from the beginning too. The old episodes with Clooney are fab!

Sami - I remember watching a my Mums friends little girl fall down the stairs years ago, I know what you mean about the slow motion. She was completely fine, just stood up and carried on her way, but it was awful to watch!

Virginity and all that - I was 13 and very reckless, so I'm suprised I wasn't a mother by the time I was 14! Luckily met OH and calmed down a bit :)

Unfortunately, I do not have a TV in the bedroom so I will be under a duvet, reclining on the sofa.

May have to consider rectifying that as a TV in the bedroom might make sense for future... :D

Feely- I think it totally depends on whether you feel up to it. You don't want to wear yourslef out at this stage, but then if you get on well with the in-laws and will enjoy the visit then go for it.

EA-Sorry to hear that your work are being a pain. I think you shoudl push for a risk assessment early- I think 12 weeks is a reasonable compromise on both parts. Could you say to HR / mgr that you will do the next two weeks of nights and see how you get on? At the end of the day you can only ask them to change your shifts if you are adversely affected. Also bear in mind that in a few weeks/ months you will be taking time off for all sorts of ante-natal bthings and while they have to let you, it'll all be much more pleasant if you are on good terms.

cant believe you've still not found the tickets. when are you going?
:o tomorrow! to be honest I didn't look properly until just now and I've found them! :j:j at the very bottom of box number 2 out of four so at least it wasn't box number 4!

Nicki - how awful that is so annoying, You can't have anything these days!
My friend had saved up to get a new beetle and 2 days after she finally got it someone keyed it! - rude!

Feelie - if you are happy to travel then go for it, just make sure you think it through - I don't want you panicking going into labour in a strange hospital that isn't aware of your special requests! oh and PLEASE will you sort out your car seat if OH is off? xxx

I'm a bit sad :( when I opened porch door to go to GPs there was the free sample of joint care doggy chews I'd requested for my Misty who won't get to eat them now :(

Sami - if I did go into labour up there, it'd be in the hospital I was born in! Definitely will buy a carseat this weekend. Going to be strange to have a husband home! Last Calender Month there were only 2 days when he didn't go into work.

    Sorry about your biscuits :(

    Afternoon ladies :)

I was 16 when I lost my virginity... And it was April 17th AM lol! Although, there was a time a couple of months before where something might of slipped in somewhere by accident... I've always been unsure about that...

I'm aching today... Took the cat in today to have his bits and peices removed... Then went with my friend to take our children to one of these play places... The plan was to have lunch there, but the cup of tea we had was not pleasant, had a cheesey undertone to it so we think the milk was not great, and by that point I had hideous heartburn... So we decided to go to McD's seeing as you can buy milk there! Chairs in both places were ridiculously uncomfortable... I was sitting on my coat... But I'm definitely contemplating carrying a cushion around with me! Hips are killing me now...

I tried to call my Dr's to see if I could order a repeat prescription now to pick up Tuesday but they only let the elderly and disabled order over the phone, everyone else has to go in and write their own... I only want bloomin gaviscon! And I'm sure everyone else in the world can get a script off their midwife, why can't I?!

Anyhoo, going to waddle into the kitchen and add spuds to my scouse... And rescue my banana loaf that I finally managed to bake today, only 5 days after I made it!
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.
