AM - I'm glad you got it sorted and you shouldn't feel at all that you've chickened out. What's most important is that you and bump are happy and safe and at least this way hopefully it will put your mind at ease.

    Right ladies!

I am officially booked in to have an elective C-section on the 17th April

It's a bit long winded but basically, saw consultant who measured me 43cm, he refered me for a scan on Tuesday, and told me to come back in a week, so I took the slip to the reception and they said they couldnt get me an appointment for that week at all and it would have to be the week after.

I told them I needed to see someone that week as I still hadnt decided if i wanted a section or VBAC, and it would be too late by then, so saw a midwife and after talking with her she went and asked the consultant if i could book in for a section.

She tried to get me in for the end of next week or the beggining of the week after but the first slot they had was the 17th, which she reckons i wont even get to.

I feel like I have chickened out, but I seriously cannot go overdue, i'm struggling as it is and they wont induce me even at term, she said she think's it;s a good idea as he baby is so big and i struggled last time, but ultimately it's my decision and OH was really supportive too :A

Got we were there over 2 hours and while we were there some girl's waters broke, she was only 34 weeks, so that was a drama!

Ooohhhh I'm so excited for you!!!! Just think, if it doesn't happen before, you know for a fact you will have your baby on the 17th!! :j :j :j

Don't feel bad, you're not a chicken ~ you know what happened last time and you're just trying to prevent something the same happening! xxx

AM As you know I also went for elective c section and i know what you mean about feeling like you have chickened out but honestly it was the best decision for me and it ended up being a positve experience for all of us.

It was completely different to my emergency section with millie, OH looked petrified throughout which i assume he did last time but i was too spaced out that time to notice him! If you OH is going into theatre with you it might be an idea to warn him that it is a bit gory!

If you've any questions I can help with just shout, its still very fresh in my mind!

Looks like you're all sorted then! :T :rotfl:

But don't go out of your way to get the ED from Lloyds as its rubbish - literally - mostly just a bunch of leaflets!

    xx

I'm quite pleased with my ED pack :o. Small things and small minds I guess....:D. I particularly like the bottle of peartiser and the sample of the Palmers cocoa butter bump rub stuff!

Having felt sick all day I am now starving and waiting for OH to get home so we can have Dominoes! Yippee!

For those who were looking for a repeat last night Apprentice is on BBC2 at the moment.

AM-How exciting that you know you will have your baby in just over two weeks. I think you're absolutely right to make the decision you're comfortable with.

    Yay, AM! :j

Hope you feel relieved now you have made your decision and you will definately meet your son by the 17th! :D.

Just curious but what happens if you go into labour yourself beforehand?

Thats so not fair! ***foot stamp*** :rotfl:

I've had about 4 over my 2 pregnancies and each and every one has only had leaflets and a packet of yoghurt coated fruit. Thats it! Definately no Peartiser!

I hope this doesn't sound silly.
But i keep getting scared that im not actually pregnant for some reason

Like when i first found out i felt sick, was really tired and had sore b00bs, and kept getting cramps.

Now i dont feel sick, not that tired and althoughmy b00bs are tender they arn't that sore. And im not getting loads of cramps like i did last week.

Am i just worrying over nothing? :(

I know quite a few of us didn't believe it was real until we had our first scan and could see our little babe on screen. Then it became real! When do you see the MW?

A nap and a bath has calmed the cramping down, so I shall just assume I've done too much lately and I will now spend more time on the sofa!

AM, sorry you are struggling. I'm measuring 39 at the moment, and I feel huge.
