    Just back from the epu.
Woke up this morning and had a little bit of brownish spotting after having a pee. Phoned my doctor and she got me a scan for this afternoon (very impressed by speed I must say). Anyhoo just back, beanie is fine and got to see the little heart beat flickering away on screen. Doctor also gave me a line for a week of work and instructed me to rest (who am I to argue?????)
Blood not coming from the babys house, mw said could just be a graze on the cervix. Had to celebrate by having McDonalds and a bag of tooty frooties which were delicious!!
    Coming soon............
Brand new baby first showing in November!
Brand new baby boy (Matthew) born 3 weeks early weighing a diddly 5lb 4 oz!!

problem is I like my steak medium rare ;)
That shouldn't be a problem at all so long as you buy a good cut of steak and have an idea of where it came from.

Also, if you cook it long and slow in the oven (Google slow cooking steak and see what happens) you'll get the effect of rare in the middle while killing anything nasty that's lurking.

We had steak last weekend, it spent six hours in the oven and was accompanied by a b!arnaise sauce, potatoes and princess beans and it was perfect. Pink through the middle but totally cooked and wonderful.

hello all, i started reading back over the posts at 3.55, you talk so much!!!

i have got a grumpy little man today, we went shopping for a travel changing mat and a bouncy chair and he ended up sleeping for 5 hours solid in his pram and car seat :o i woke him up cos he hadnt been fed for about 6 hours and i felt like a bad mum and now he's being a proper unsettled grump so that'll teach me! we have also succumbed to the dreaded dummy :o really didnt want to but it does seem to help him settle a bit. the bouncy chair is genius, i cant believe it took us so long to get one! but OH annoyed me as we were putting him in it the first time, he felt the need to remind me that i needed to make sure i strapped him in or he would slide out and probably do himself a damage! REALLY???????? couldnt have figured that out myself, thanks!!!!!
but he did buy us a kfc boneless bucket on the way home, i think its meant to serve 4 not 2 but hey i'm feeding a growing boy lol

really dreading the week after next when OH goes back to work, he is so much better with seth than i am especially at settling him, i'm starting to have a little panic about how i'm going to manage when i'm on my own and i cant ask him to stay up later than me for the last feed before bed and someone to take it in turns for nappy changes and someone to entertain him while i have a shower and someone to just generally help

also feeling very sorry for myself cos i'm still soooooo sore from where they put a catheter in me when i was delivering the placenta. just having a stupid lack of sleep/hormonal day i think!

Krystaltips - I want to breastfeed i know that, but i dont want to feel pressured into it and frowned upon if i need to bottle feed incase i cant breastfeed :(

i was never asked if i wanted to, i just had a midwife come along and show me how to do it lol! good job i wanted to, i was so tired i didnt have the strength to point out that i might not want to. there was a girl in the bed next to me that was blatantly under 16 and they kept trying to make her BF, even i could tell through a curtain she obviously didnt want to!

I made my OH get me a variety of healthy snacks when he went to tescos the other day so I can nibble on something whilst at work. Currently these are:

    Special K Bars
CrispBreads - wheat and poppy seeds
    Mini Cheddars
    French Fries crisps.

So am hoping that these will get me through. The crispbreads seem to be the best at the moment.
sweet ryvita's are good and jacobs cream crackers are too, good thing about the ryvita's is they dont go soft overnight if you dont seal them, i've had a open pack in my cupboard for about a month and they're still crunchy! ginger nut biscuits are meant to be good for sickness too.

I cant wait for my scans, teehee :)

But i've heard that the print off has gone up to £4! I knows it only £4 but to get a few (which i was going to for grandparents) would cost alot!

Might just get one and scan it and re print myself :p

    xx
we were told £1 per photo and took £5 so we'd have some for family, but the lovely lady gave us about 10! same thing happened on both 12 and 20 week scans, hopefully you'll be as lucky!

    Not happy :(

At work they have got rid of our department, and yesterday they asked us to pick 3 choices of where we want to go.
I was pretty much told by my current team manager that im going to be on his new team. And i find out today im on a team that i didn't want to go on with hours until 11pm!

I know with the whole current climate im lucky to have a job, but i dont see the point in them asking us for choices then not even bothering to look.

The people that didn't want to go to the place i wanted to go, got it. :|

Sorry about ranting i just needed to say something. I cried lol.

    xx
