Yeah, she's more likely to go to a shop sooner than me, so she can look out for them! I'm trying to avoid shops for the foreseeable future.. they MAKE me spend money, I tell you! :(

ahh yes thanks to i think jvic I went to M&S today and some how a dressing gown for me, trousers for Chris and 7 piece set for baby all hopped off the sale rail and into my trolley  I also cleverly got some general cards in the sale for 50p tho to put in my card box I got from costco including an anniversary one as I'm thinking the last thing I'll want to do 2days after my due date is shop for a card for OH got 2 spares aswell so he has no excuse for not giving me one - I don't care if its one I bought for the box, thought that counts n all that;)

efrieze - thankyou :D My SIL was due on Fri 30th Sept (yrs ago), went into work that day as she felt fine, stayed fine all day, then had a very quick labour and gave birth on the Monday! Like Tine was saying, I think it depends on how you're feeling, and up to now (touch wood and all that!) I've been fine, aches and pains wise (sickness is over and done with, so forgotten about now!). Plus I've got a cushy office job and only a 15min drive to work so fingers crossed I can last to 38wks.

How is your friend doing, btw? (the one who found out she was having another boy)

Fitzio - I'm another one on SMP only. Planning to take the 9mths, and reassess at the 6mth mark as to whether I can afford to stay off for the three months unpaid.. holding out hope for a Lotto win in the meantime! ;)

Sami - I was only saying earlier that I need to buy my sister and grandad's birthday cards sometime soon and keep them in a safe place cos the birthdays are just before my due date. Colleagues said I should leave them at work with dates and stamps on and they'll post them for me cos they expect me to have gone to pot by then!
  • I have a huge box of cards for all occassions! :o. I always have a stamps too!

And I have a big storage box with all kinds of gifts 'just in case' :D.

I've just started on Easter and have 18 eggs on the dining table! :rotfl:

Thanks for asking - she is going for councilling as she has sort of spiralled into what she terms ante natal depression. She has all sorts of anxiety and is trying to deal with it with some help.

what are your opinions on night time nappy changes? i've read in several places today that unless its a poopy nappy its not necessary to change it at night cos its better to not wake them up too much, which would suit us cos seth screams blue murder at every change, but i dunno, worried about nappy rash/soreness if i dont do it every feed? what do you guys do?

Oh lordy.. well, if that's what she needs to get her head around it, fair dos. Hope it helps her :)

Oh, genius! I didn't know they did that - the "ordering early, posting on time" thing. I only ever use Moonpig when I've forgotten an occasion and can't get to a shop - the "order by 2pm" has been a lifesaver many-a-time! ;)

Chris has been given 3 eggs already I tell everyone "thanks very much I'll enjoy eating that" but they don't learn  I think they think I'm joking but I'm not :p I'm pretty strict with choccy and sweets for Chris he usually gets fruit, raisins or some organix goodies as treats - much better for him! :A

OMG its suddenly all stormy here - me no likey :(

It's not just the baby gender - she has other issues too. I think she has issues with her marriage which she is not acknowledging - I wonder whether the councilling with highlight that. Anyway, you can't control depression I guess and can't rationalise it either. I hope she gets better soon.
