    Hello Everyone

I had a terrible time at the consultants, it's like being treated like cattle, next, next, next

I thought he would be able to help with the pain in my back but he said it is probably my kidney and I need physio for it  probably take 18 weeks to refer me at the usual rate of waiting for things

Also said there is nothing can be done about leaking problems except pelvic floor exercises (which haven't helped so far) or stay on the toilet longer  could be there all day at this rate :o

All this and not to mention that when you walk up to the receptionists desk you can see everyone elses notes with their addresses on and such like while the notes wait for the nurse to collect them. Oh yeah, who was that nurse? don't people introduce themselves these days

It was a bit like being on show as well since there were 5 or so nurses hanging around doing naff all.

I wish I was exciting but all of these appointments, GP, consultant, midwife are doing my head in  must be having a bad day

Anyone managed to avoid any unecessary appointments & how did you do it? :A

I was wondering, where pregnant ladies such as yourselves :D would buy something baby related from,if it were used/second hand etc? Is it Ebay only..or are there other selling places that sell baby stuff to?

I got some stuff from stuff4sale - online classified ad type thing if they have it in your area :D
  • Hi everyone, my test was bfp today, i have only been off the pill for 2 months so it has happened pretty quick!

I am emigrating in a couple of weeks to the carribean - hubby is from there, what I need to know is what maternity clothes are essentials as I am not sure what I can and can not get over there.
I am thinking couple of pairs of crop trousers and couple of pairs of shorts will this be enough? I am also thinking of getting the baby/bump band so I can keep wearing my clothes a lot longer.
    Love a charity shop bargain

Should of multi-posted but can't be !!!!!d soz.

Thanks for mat clothes updates. I will probably just need two pairs of jeans now and will get some skirts for the summer. I forgot about a pair of jeans going on eBay at 3.15pm today and missed out by 50p! Was gutted!

Will just get tops from H&M then! I didn't even go to the Next at Gemini how bad is that! I went to Mothercare by pizza hut and then to St Helens Next.
Glam I don't think next will have any short leg stuff from what workingmummy said (I didn't even know they had any in there!)

I was told my my mate that traff centre is pants for mat stuff too! no mat stuff to be found in H&M, Next or M&S when she went summertime last yr:rolleyes:

Catz, you don't have to have any medical appointments if you don't want them... I've turned down a scan because I didn't think it neccessary... But I'm only having 1 baby and it's all pretty straight forward and notmal... I might be a bit more accomodating to the healthcare proffesionals if I was having twins, or a difficult pregnancy...

Congratulations glitterycloud, welcome to the club!

Anyone looking to buy their prams, cots, bouncers etc, might be worth trying your independant baby shop. Ours reduced our pram by more the half price due to trade fairs being this week & they needed to clear last seasons range of colours!!!
Like we care if it's last seasons, £600 off is worth it to have last seasons. I think the new one is a shade darker!!! Crazy eh :D

Going back next week as they've started to reduce bouncers etc :D
Very proud mummy to be, after years of IVF

Great tip dooleys... Might pop into our local independant shop next week... Seeing as I still haven't had my rocking chair back from the 'friend' my Mother lent it to... bah... I'll buy baby a new one and give her the receipt!

what is leaking hun? if its wee then rest assured it can be fixed once ur bubba's are here (I have already had my referal to physio put in so I should get an app within 6 weeks of giving birth)
avoiding unecessary apps? don't have twins :p I don't have many apps coz I'm nice n straight forward and declining most tests so I only have the wee test, BP, listen type apps :D

Glam, Sami think all the next petite stuff comes from the webside / directory. My best mate bought me some lovely Grey linen pants in petite from the website for my birthday. Yep just checked they come in 5 different leg lengths - Petite being 27 to 271/2"

I know you said you like to try things on, so do i, but don't think us short legged people have much of a choice.

Hey-Just thought i would nip into your baby thread to ask a question if its ok?

I was wondering, where pregnant ladies such as yourselves :D would buy something baby related from,if it were used/second hand etc? Is it Ebay only..or are there other selling places that sell baby stuff to?

Im asking because ive got two large items to sell and dont really want to go down the Ebay route ... So were wondering if there were any other sites that i would be likely to get a good responce on?
The items are a swinging crib that was only used once. And a very large luxury moses basket that was imported from germany when i had my son. It goes up to 9 months of age. They sell similar ones on ebay now for hundreds of pounds-so one of you might of seen the type i mean. Obviously it was used but still looks like new to be honest. There in my mums attic and she is whinging on at me to get them out of her way ...

Any ideas would be great on sites/places to sell. Thanks.

Ad trader and my local paper are my usual selling places. Actually usually just the ad trader cos it's online.

BUT, if the crib is worth serius money, eBay may be your best bet. With a paypal only, payment in 3 days or reported warning.

CONGRATULATIONS Glitterycloud! I think a few pairs of bottoms (whatever you fancy) and you can just buy larger tops (remember that the tops will get stretched out of shape anyway).
