  • Well I think Premium bonds are a fun idea if you don't think you can cope with full on stoozing (like me - I don't think I am quite organised enough) and you've given me the idea to try it seeing as I've just been accepted for the Sky Card. I didn't know it was possible to buy P bonds with a credit card but I presume it must be if you've managed it! I've only got £100 in them at the moment but I won £50 recently and it is very nice.

It's not possible to buy Premium Bonds directly with a credit card. You first have to 'extract' the money from the card using stoozing techniques. Most importantly, you need a Super Balance Transfer card.
  • Thanks, no sooner had I said that than I saw on the nsandi site that you needed a debit card to buy the bonds, and so it's perhaps not so easy, ah well never mind.

Badgergal, You cannot buy Premium Bonds with a Credit Card, Michelle had a loan (assume bank loan) and I believe this was the money she used to buy the premium bonds with. Then when she had her home improvements done she then paid with a 0% card. If this is not quite right I am sure Michelle will correct me.

  • Yes I did buy the bonds with the loan money, Also as I pay my credit card off each month (sometimes £1000+) if I have 0% on purchases for 6-9 months I also put this money into Bonds until I need to pay the card or find another 0% no fee.

    Thanks
    Michelle
  • I get it now, thanks :)
  • Let's get this straight, I wasn't shouting by using capitals, it was my way of distinguishing between quoted lines and replies. I was simply offering my advice to help the OP make her money work better, as I thought that was the whole point. Wish I hadn't bothered.

Fair enough. Now you know, Capitals on discussion boards are the equivalent of shouting.
