in Credit cards
m&S 0% due to end on 24 April so thought I should be applying for another
One about now.( owe about £3000 and could pay but would prefer to keep it in P bonds if I could).
I already have HSBC 0% thats OK till august time. Also have Barclaycard that I use for purchases only that I pay off each month. A few weeks ago I cancelled Halifax one and Thomas cook, I had never used these, just kept them just incase, on reading this site the advice was to cancel cards not in use so it wont affect credit ratings. I am just learning all this, I was thinking about Sainsburys or Lloyds.
Any Advice please.
Thanks
Michelle

As long as you want to do a straight forward Balance transfer either would be okay.
Check the Provider A-Z list to the left and then the summary box of the card you want and check if any Transfer charges apply to your new card.

I'm naive, what is stoozing and is it wrong? I am not a dishonest person. Is it best to pay off the credit cards, I thought I might win the big one if I left it in the bonds.
P.S just going to do a search for stoozing.
Thanks

Do not worry, I think the point they are making is that the return on having your money in premium bonds is not comparable to having it in an isa or high interest account. Personally I like the premium bonds, and have a stooze pot of approx 15k plus 10k of my own in pb's. Also have money in isa's etc but like to think that just maybe my number may come in.£2.00 Savers Club = £34.00 So Far
+ however may £2 coins I have saved in my Terramundi since 2000.

Kazd, thank-you for your reply, I am not that financially minded and don't know anything about Isa's and things. The money was a Loan that I got for home improvements so put it in bonds till I needed it, then I read this site about the 0% cards so thought I would try it which ment the bonds could run a little longer. Thought I was doing something wrong for a while.
Thanks again

With reference to the above I would say say away from stoozing.
You need to be aware of the accounts and cards that you are running and the date and transfer restrictions between these accounts and the interest that you are likely to incurr as well as fees leved for any transfers.
It can be done but you need to read up on Martins articles on BT & SBT so you don't make any costly mistakes.
good luck0 -

NOTHING IS WRONG, WE WERE JUST TRYING TO MAKE YOUR MONEY WORK BETTER FOR YOU
I am not a dishonest person.
ARE YOU IMPLYING THAT STOOZERS ARE?

WITH £3K IN BONDS, YOUR ODDS OF WINNING A PRIZE (FROM £50 UP) IS ONCE EVERY 8 MONTHS. IF YOU GET ONE £50 WIN IN A YR, THAT'S EQUIVALENT TO A RATE ON YOUR SAVINGS OF 1.6%
PB IS FUN, BUT IT'S NOT GOING TO MAKE YOU MONEY0 -
Excuse me but I do believe that typing in Capitals is the equivalent of shouting. Leave the poor girl alone, she was not suggesting that stoozers were dishonest. She was just worried that she was doing something dishonest, of which she has now been assured that she is not.
I agree with the other poster that maybe she is not ready for stoozing but there is nothing wrong with her transferring her debt to another 0% card and keeping the money in premium bonds for the duration. Lets face it the amount of money she will make in a savings account is not exactly going to change her life.£2.00 Savers Club = £34.00 So Far

Thanks Kazd.
HGLTsuperstar,I was not implying anything about stoozers(dishonest or otherwise). I had not heard the word before and when you said "your stoozing" it just didn't sound a very nice word. Since checking I now know what it means. I would like to be clever enough and have more cash to try stoozing but it will never be. For now I am happy with the £50 to £100 I get
some months from Bonds. I put all our savings into bonds because the interest rate is so low. This is good for me, normally it would just float around in my current account. I will keep reading and learning from MSE and one day my pennies may turn into pounds.
Sorry if I offended you.
