At this time my entire outgoings, including all bills is about 20% of my income, more or less all the rest is saved.0

Rent on the flat we're in at the moment is 15% of my take home pay, or 9% of our combined take home.
We're moving in a couple of weeks time to a better located house, that'll cost us a bit more, about 14% of our combined take home pay. It's worth the extra.
We save about 50% of our take home pay each month, I consider this 'overpaying' our mortgage before we even apply for one0
