    About 50%, single.

7% rent, saving 80-85% towards a house, remaining on food and petrol.

Thanks Brodders. I feel I've matured in dignity since I bought a Nissan.

Thats something I thought I'd never see. The words Nissan and dignity in the same sentence.
Nissan and dingy..... or even Nissan and dinghy but not dignity.

    ;)

Mine at the moment is 37% but after the summer it will drop to 30%.
I used to suffer from lack of motivation.... now I just can't be arsed.

You lot are making me feel poor. I started this thread because the mortgage holders were making me feel poor ... and I wanted to feel wealthier, more "normal". But boy some of you have low rent (or high salaries).

Welcome to the "peasant renters" thread, to run parallel to those posh home-owning lot :)

So, what part of your household take-home total income is your rent?

That's: pay, bonuses, benefits, tax credits, maintenance ... or the cash you get selling pegs door to door.

    Mine's 45%

15% but we have debt, so should be rolling in it otherwise.

Edited to say that is joint income vs rent. If it were on my income alone it would be 33% (just rent, no bills, food etc) so that should make you feel a bit better PN!!

About 33.3%, but I am just renting a single room in a shared flat and that includes all bills.

The rest of my salary goes on petrol, food etc, good times and debt repayment!
saving up another deposit as we've lost all our equity.
We're 29% of the way there...
