I wasn't actually beig rude when I pointed out your lack of spelling skills, i was actually trying to help you, because if you improved your spelling a better job might be easier to find.

Well the way you came across, was totally wrong. You dont have to be perfect to get a job.

Good on you for trying to sort yourself out :)

I don't know how handy you are with computers, but if you're struggling can't you eBay some of your old things? Or try getting things from Freecycle & carbooting them (we often have boxes for carbooters advertised on my local one)? I know they'll only make nominal amounts but better than nothing.

Also, regards childminding, before you can afford to get it off the ground with the licence, can you start babysitting? Advertise yourself locally & on gumtree. Write reviews on Ciao and DooYoo, again it's nominal earnings but it will keep you busy & bring in a little extra.

I can't imagine how your OH can only earn £400 a month - is he doing full time hours? Seems ridiculous...can he look at different types of work? Can he advertise himself for odd jobs?

Surely we can drop the matter of spelling and focus on the actual problem?
This is an Internet forum, not a job application and as such people tend to care a little less about their spelling, furthermore unless the OP is looking for a job in journalism of perhaps sign-writing there's not going to be too much emphasis on how to spell properly.

Yes, you're so much better than those lowly folk who can't spell, employ grammar or calculate numbers. They're all such buffoons!

Climb down from your high-horse there and perhaps muster your grand intellect to help find a solution for these lowly peasants ...

  • My OH is working for his family business, And last night spoke to his employer, to which his reply was

" Learn to drive, get paid more! "

He was told then he could start making over £10 per hour, IF the jobs come in!

So what he done was asked the job centre, (Went in there) about finding something else as, maybe a part-time / weekend, And they have told him that they cant help him as the jobs they are advertising are for the un-employed only!

So we are now looking in the local newspapers, And super-stores for something extra.!

Just don't tell the job centre he's unemployed?! Or look online on the job centre website? I'm sure there are jobs out there if you look hard enough - I'm about to lose my job so in the same boat, and I'm about the same age, only I have a mortgage & cars to fund, eek! He works for his family & his employed (presumably a parent??) has told him to learn to drive to get paid more?? Can't he get lifts etc, if he's working as a labourer presumably it will be with others? Is he doing full time hours for £100 a week??

I take it your one of these people, that think they are a cut above the rest, Well love....

After the loss of my job i was out job hunting, myself. Not claiming benefits or sitting around doing nothing! I have in the past run my own business with spelling or no spelling.

I bet you looked at my post, thinking another teenager, being lazy not pulling their weight ect..!

    NO!

Me and my OH have been worked since 14 starting with weekend jobs and has never stopped since leaving school, I even worked and went to college to improve my self-employment, to make something of myself.

And as for other peoples post. i agree with all of them...! other then yours there is no reason for you to have come to my post and start being a bully.

So i will leave you now, checking for mis-takes! have fun!

I think we will get it sorted, Hopefully.

Its just so hard for everyone at the moment, But i still cant see why the tax office, has told us that we have to be over 25 to be able to claim...!

    Thanks for everyone's help!
