    It's a funny old thing tiling. I agree with Alan.
    I'm not a full time tiler as such, but do a lot of bathrooms and kithchens, so have learnt to tile over a number of years.

    The size of tile and state of the walls change things a lot. I recently completed a bathroom re-tile with 450x330 wall tiles. There was not a 90 angle in the room! areas of the walls had convex bows and all sorts of issues. Large tiles are VERY unforgiving with uneven surfaces. I allowed 3 days for the tiling and it took me 5. I'm now also considering quoting a day rate on domestic tiling.

    However, the client was chuffed with the result and has now asked me to tile the second bathroom and the kitchen, so taking my time and doing a good job paid off...;)
