Don’t know how useful this will be but I thought I’d share with the rest of the you guys (and dolls). After cleaning up the house I accidentally pulled the wire connecting my modem to the phone socket at the phone end. As I was over a year subscription and feeling annoyed with the amount I was paying I contacted Wanadoo customer services department. 1 month and 3 phone calls later I received my new modem free of charge. On the first call I was told that since my subscription was over a year they could waive the fees to upgrade my line (usually it’s a £30 charge). I complained at the length of time which I waited to receive my modem when it finally arrived. I have now been credited a free month and when I complained about them offering the £14.99 deal for the first 6 months to new customers I was told that they would now debit my account for £14.99 for 6 months before it rises to the normal price of £17.99.

I see that a number of folk complain about Wanadoo on this site but apart from the wait for my replacement modem, I’m very happy with their service and haven’t experienced any problems with them and I’ve been with them approaching 2 years now.
