Phone Call From eBay re Spring Challenge

I've just received a phone call from eBay promoting their Spring Challenge!!!
They told me all about what it was, what I could win, and how much I needed to make, etc. When they finally stopped talking and asked if I was interested, I pointed out that I had already read the terms and conditions, and as far as I knew wouldn't be able to take part as nearly all my auctions are BIN. They couldn't confirm this as they had no idea what the terms & conditions were and seemed really surprised that I already knew about it. She then said she would send me the e-mail anyway giving me all the details (so what was the point of phoning? ).
Anyway, just thought I'd give people a heads up that they might be getting a phone call fom eBay, because I must admit I went into panic mode when she first said who she was calling from, cos I have never heard of eBay calling about a promotion like this befoe, so automatically pressumed something *really* bad had happened regarding my account, etc.

Was it from a +870 number?
Might be the mystery caller I have been getting!0 -
Yes I keep getting an 0870 number ringing me. I only tried answering it once and as there was a pause I thought it was cold calling from a call centre so I put the phone down. Since then they have tried ringing me about 5 times but it can't be that urgent as each time they have never left a message on 1571.0

It;s probably not eBay employees as such but more an outside company involved either with ebay which is why they dont rweally know\care about the t&cs0

Seemed a little funnny to me
If it doesn't fit, force it; if it breaks, it needed replacement anywaySarcasm helps keep you from telling people what you really think of them
