anyone know if there is any in flight entertainment on flights to turkey with thomas cook....
  • When we went to Egypt with them they had two films on each way, presume it'll be similar for Turkey.

Thank you for all the replies, I'm feeling a lot more relaxed about it now, can't wait for the next few months to go so that I can get on the beach and have some fun :)

Think this will be our first proper holiday (just me and Chris) since we got together 2 years ago

I think I will need the seat belt extender, but I don't mind, will ask someone as I get on the plane as everyone else will probably be too busy to realise. Are night flights quieter? Because we leave at 20.55 (UK time) will the flight be quieter?
hi there, i am a size 20 and always on a diet - but i gotta say on holidays i always see much bigger ladies and nobody really cares - dont worry - enjoy - maybe we can diet together !!! i suspect the flight wont be quieter at that time than any other time - but dont worry, honestly xxxx

someone pointed out to me, what if I get sat next to a stranger who doesn't want the arm rest up? surely if we check in early enough the staff will sit us together? it's been that long since I flew anywhere that I don't know what to expect as we weren't given the option of pre booking seats when we originally booked the holiday

Well here goes my diet, starting today with a couple of rice cakes and a side order of strawberries lol :o

They should sit you together if you check in earlier rather than later. However, you might find that you are in a row of 3, so whilst you are next to your OH, there is someone else on the other side. In which case, if you are concerned, you have the window or aisle seat (one of which must have been allocated to either of you) & put OH in the middle next to the stranger ;)

Now that we are a family of 5, I get to sit on my own with the baby on my lap, whilst the other 3 usually get a row of 3 together. So the lucky person next to me runs the risk of baby fluids, as she's a very sicky baby. And, if they are really lucky, they get to see my boobs :D

Yeah that's what we were thinking with checking in as early as possible, think we're aiming to get there for about 5.00, though dont know what time check in will be, can't look at the moment because the thomas cook site is playing up, I've already broke the news to Chris that he is sitting in the middle lol :j;)

I think we're getting the luggage at the end of this month, Argos have a couple of roller holdalls that we've been looking at. I don't fancy borrowing from his parents because if anything happened then we would have to fork out £100 for a new set, whereas ours will only set us back £40 including tags and locks

I'm starting to get myself very stressed out at the moment. Myself and the other half have got a fortnight's holiday booked to Turkey at the end of june.

I'm desparately trying to lose weight because I'm petrified that I won't fit into the seats on the planes. I'd be mortified if I had to buy an extra seat. Chris has already said that we can pull the arm up in between us (if possible) to make a little bit easier. But, I get embarassed easily enough as it is.

Has anyone on here flown with Thomas Cook recently, and got an idea as to how tightly we're going to be squashed in?
im a 22-24 and i fit in:T but depends with thomas cook, if its 757 the cabin crew call it the huff and puff cattle truck. this was coming back from sharm in jan. cabin crew said if you get the bigger plane as said earlier, your lucky:eek: the want to get more dosh out of these flights.  we got disabled seats coming back and were worse than what we went in.

can anyone recommend a few cheap travel essentials like sun cream/oil, and toiletries to take with us? we don't want to have to spend loads to just leave them over there

Go to the boots grabbit thread. They are selling off some suncreams at the moment, & I've got loads of good brand name kids 30 & 50 factor for 1/5 of the normal price.
Also if you have any boots £5 no 7 vouchers, you can buy the no 7 suncreams ( & hair protection spray, glitter lip & eye sun cream etc ;) ).

They know SO much more about it...ask the experts :D

I've just spotted the BOGOF offers with boots, so was gonna get a couple of sprays for Chris, one espescially for his hair (he's shaving his head before we go) and a high spf for him, then going to get a lower spf for me and some after sun ... Im hooked on this forum now, so many brilliant ideas and people willing to help and give advice and stuff, it is VERY much appreciated
