Need to update my address on drivers licence

I just realised that my address on my drivers licence is my fathers address, but I am in rented accomodation (albeit not far from the address on my licence!), if I'm renting a car will I be refused or will they not check so extensively? I realise that not having the correct address is illegal so I should change it anyway, plus the address on my bank cards will obviously be different from what's on my licence.
I see that I can change my address online, I just wonder if anyone has done this?

I'm going away on the 24th of April so I'll be cutting it fine if I need to do this and don't do it soon.

My license is the old pink paper type. I found it a few weeks ago when sorting through some old paperwork. Since then I have married and movd at least 10 times. Not sure where to start.0

just a change of address (if you have a photocard already) (and you are not very close to the 10 year photo change time) is free and can be done very easily on line.. a fresh card and counter part will arrive in a few days0

The scary bit with this system is that you have to cut up the old one and post to them in the belief that Royal mail will not lose it. I took a photo copy first. This is an open forum, anyone can post and I just did !0 -
Hmmmmmm
Mine is still my mother's address 25 years after moving out! 0
