Boiler lockout- Glow worm combi boiler

Hello all,
I wonder if anyone can help re this- recently the boiler in my flat keeps going into lock-out mode whereby the hot water doesn't start & it prevents the heating from coming on.
It is easily sorted by resetting the buttom but obviously annoying if you've been out & come back to a freezing home which should have been nicely warming up, due to the lock out mode kicking in.

Is this is problem easily remedied or is it a sign of something more ominous? the boiler is about 5 years old, has been working fine since about Nov when I turned the heating on,

Thanks in advance

Have you checked the pressure gauge, perhaps you need to add some water?
That gum you like is coming back in style.

Yes I've checked the pressure gauge & it is just below one, have been studying the info manual but there isn't really any troubleshooting Qs merely descriptive i.e. this is the boiler lock out button

    Will keep seaching

You could try posting the question on the plumbing /heating forum here http://www.diynot.com/forums/ someone pointed me in that direction the other day for a question I had about boilers.

    Hi Penrhyn

It's just below 1 and stays there when the heating is on/hot water is on- am not too knowledgable re boilers! It's not a major prob but I wonder if it could be a sign of something that needs sorting.
Thanks for the link colinw- I will check it out!

    faulty overheat stat possibly
    or
scaled water to water heat exchanger, water getting too hot causing overheat to go (a good flushing may do it)
