I think the last time I switched it was about 4 weeks.
I agree with others I'm probably being cautious, it's just me!
Ignore me and get on with switching.....
Energyhelpline does cashback I think, sites like quidco and topcashback do cashback via uswitchIndecision is the key to flexibility0 -
Many times if a metering job is booked and then an account shows as withdrawing the Meter Operators DO cancel the job. I would not only wait for this but give it a few weeks after so that all the industry has updated with your exchange details. If you choose to move suppliers now they will be sent all the details of your PP meter. This can mean at least a few more weeks before you can have a correct account. I deal with the fallout from this mess every day believe me.
If you have already started the ball rolling write down all your exchange details so this can be raised with your new supplier to get corrected when the time comes.Self Employed, Running my Dream Jobs0 -

i doubt they will cancel the meter job as i paid £125 for them to do it. i get it back in 12 months even if i switch supplier
Your new supplier may also request a security deposit which may be more or less than £125."Now to trolling as a concept. .... Personally, I've always found it a little sad that people choose to spend such a large proportion of their lives in this way but they do, and we have to deal with it." - MSE Forum Manager 6th July 20100 -
yes sorry it was a security deposit, i get it back in 12 months even if i switch before they said? can i ask why the new supplier will ask for a security deposit too? as the new meter will be in place by then?0

It's security against you defaulting and not paying the bills, not security on the meter.0
