Why would someone keep their house on the market with 2 agents, but when you try to view it they say the vender has decided not to sell?
Wouldnt they remove it from sale?
What would be their reasons to leave it up for sale and with 2 agents?

I think you have to keep it on the market for your HIP to stay valid.0

We had this with one house in Aylesbury. It was on with two agents, we tried to get a viewing with both agents, and when one agent really tried to get a viewing for us the owner disinstructed them. We couldn't understand it.0

Because the seller is stupid and even more so the two agents who should act more professionally than to play such silly games.A retired senior partner, in own agency, with 40 years experience in property sales & new build. In latter part of career specialising in commercial - mostly business sales.0

We did fancy having a look, i cant understand it the longer they leave it surley it will lose more money?
We tried the one estate agent last week to get a viewing and they said the vendors circumstances had changed and they had put it on hold, anyway we gave the other one a call and managed to get a viewing, but it got cancelled today.
We are more or less ready to buy got all the mortgages lined up, and the house is now ready to be let out.
Just a shame we have not got any houses to view, hopefully something will turn up.0 -

A poster on this forum doesn't want to sell but is keeping it for sale so they dn't have to et a new HIP.0 -

Indeed I believe they have raised the price to stop people wanting to view it! However, they are not using an EA. Perhaps the contract for the house you are looking at involves them paying back the EAs fees if they stop marketing? I've seen that before.0
