You may struggle with it being a 'pre-existing' condition.

It's a bit like looking for car insurance when your Mini is wrapped around a tree!

Anything you do find is likely to be only a fraction of the full cost.

You may be better looking for a low cost loan?
    How to find a dentist.
    1. Get recommendations from friends/family/neighbours/etc.
    2. Once you have a short-list, VISIT the practices - dont just phone. Go on the pretext of getting a Practice Leaflet.
    3. Assess the helpfulness of the staff and the level of the facilities.
    4. Only book initial appointment when you find a place you are happy with.
  • Does anyone have any recommendations or suggestions regarding Dental Insurance? All the local (and not-so-local) dentists are turning private at the beginning of April, and I am considering taking out insurance. Is anyone familiar with WPA, as according to Money Supermarket, they have quite a competitive deal.

I have been fortunate that I have not had any problems with my teeth so I am also considering just saving the money in an account to pay the extra bills, can anyone with private dentists give me any idea of potential large costs?

    Thanks

Has anyone heard of Universal Provident?. I'm looking for dental insurance and they seem to provide a good policy at a good price ?

I looked at this a while ago and the product, in my opinion, was complete crap. It was cheap though, but when you compared it to other providers you could see why.
It may just be that it didnt meet my requirments, so if it does provide you with the cover you need then it could be an excellent bargain.

Does anyone know of a plan which I could sign up to, to help with the cost of dental treatment?

I haven't been to a dentist in a while, had to go (emergency) now I'm gonna be landed with a mega bill as I will need some further treatment.

Does anyone know of any scheme which will help in this instance? Most I have looked at state that you have to have been to a dentist in the past 12mths and cannot have known that you need treatment.

Possibly HSA might be able to do something but there will be a waiting time before claiming with them as well, it might be shorter though than 12 months.

I have a dental scheme where I pay a set amount each month and thats covers most treatment I may require. However I was only entitled to join this once any known work had been carried out (but thankfully there was none)

Have you investigated the NHS option to help with this current treatment?(difficult I know but might be worth at keast trying)
