Chick-peas have been soaking since last night. I've just nipped over to Morrisons for fresh "cilantro" (but it says "coriander" on the pack  ), and cayenne. The onions are in the fridge, as suggested in that post up there.
Questions:
99p for a bunch of coriander that's much too big. (I could have bought a flippin' plant for 59p, but I would have needed most of it and I'm not very good with plants!) What can I do with the rest of it? Can I freeze it? It'll only get wasted  otherwise, as I'm not here next week.
The recipe says to add the chick-peas and the liquid, from the can. Well, I haven't got cans, so how much of what liquid do I use?
And what's a teaspoonful? Level, rounded or heaped? It doesn't say and there's a fair difference between the three! If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0 -
Coriander. You can chop and freeze. I do the same with parsley. I wrap in cling film parcels. You could of bought the plant and kept it growing and just pick as much as you need. Or pick it all and freeze what you don't use.
There would not be much liquid in the can, possibly 2oz max. It will be more for the flavour or the need for a little more liquid. Use water if you need to.
Teaspoons are always level unless they say otherwise.£2 Coins Savings Club 2012 is £4.............................NCFC member No: 00005.........

I'm still here, just about to start....don't go anywhere I might need emergency assistance. If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0

These cinnamon sticks seem...well...woody! I haven't got a pestle and mortar (obviously!), so have just crushed them up by hand. Does it soften (a lot) during cooking, as I don't fancy fishing bits of twig out...If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0

I never crush them, too much hassle. I just add to the cooking process and then fish out the whole stick
maybe I shouldn't be??
