Catsan Cat Litter - gone up by £1 (Tesco)!!!!!!

I was ordering my Tesco online shopping yesterday & was shocked to see Catsan Cat Litter has gone up by almost £1 (from £4.50 to £5.47!).
Morrisons sell it for £5.16, but does anyone know anywhere that sells it cheaper than £5.16?

It's £4.40 for 10litres in Sainsbury atm. Not sure if anywhere else is doing it cheaper though.

I expect that they will all increase their prices soon. Asda are charging the same as Tesco, as is Morrisons (my local branch charges £5.47 a bag), so Sainbury's will put theirs up too I'd imagine.

You may want to consider switching to a stores own premium, or even value brand. I use the Tesco Value cat litter, and it does the job fine.

tescos own brand cat litter has went up by 50p too

The thing i find with Catsan, is that there is no hint of any smells when you use it (and i've got 2 Cats!).
I've used cheaper litter in the past & they just don't compare.

But for anyone else who's interested- i've just checked Sainsbury's online & the 20L bag is even better value at £7.91!
Think i'll be paying Sainsbury's a visit.

The cheapest I ve seen it is at Pets at home, its sometimes 2 x 20l for £15.
The offer has just finished so probably not again for another month,but still worth keeping an eye on!
Appparently the prices have been pushed up due to high demand for it over the snowy period,people were using it when they couldnt get grit salt,so now its probably harder to get hold of, less in stock pile etc!

We tried switching from catsan to various cheaper versions, but the cat always refuses to use it and starts going to the toilet behind the chairs! :mad:

my kitten used to use it but now he goes out now with the other cat. I use to buy it from Wilkinson's for approx. £3.40 and this was about 4mths ago. I'm not sure what it is now tho'. I'll check for you when i go in next, ok.

Sorry - I got the wrong brand, but I did use Catsan prior to the last one who's name I forgot (Bob Martin?) it's the one in a blue plastic pouch that's got the semi-opaque crystals that's odorising, non-clumping type, and that was about £3.40. It's not as big as Catsan but it's certainly better than any of the other types as I found that it didn't 'stick' to the cat's fur/legs and leave a trail of it around the house. This one I believe is the best alternative, if you want to keep your house clean and non-smelly!:rotfl:
