Morning all - lashed it down all night, cats decided the stairs were some kind of kitty olympic sprinting/boxing event at 5am and DD1 woke up in the grump from hell. Don't you just love mornings!

Today I shall be steam cleaning curtains....life on the edge!

No I DO want to date him further in case I DO feel the spark. I just don't want to mess him around, because he's nice.

I AM a bit scared of drifting into a relationship where there ISN'T a spark, just because it's easy and comfortable, and better than being alone. Because I've been there and actually, it's NOT better than being alone.

Giving him a fair chance is not messing him around - if you remain honest and open with him. Men get confused with platitudes and hints - just say it how it is and he'll be fine.

Hi - I had a lovely hot shower this morning. Joy!
Only trouble is that the ballcock was overflowing again when I got up. It stopped after the shower. Will send Dad round in a bit to check still ok.

Lou - congrats on the new boiler! Was it insured after all.

Snaggles. Be careful. You have had a lot of upset recently. Don't feel that you HAVE to have a relationship. Maybe a time to reflect and get over recent rubbish might be a good idea. (none of my business I know).

Sammy - a 'k' would be a good idea although I am enjoying the challenge of your posts.

Hope you don't mind me posting this here...
I've been out of work since Jan... have been offered 6th month contract in London.. need to find inexpensive accomodation/room to rent/lodge.... anyone in the London area an hour or so from SE1... all considered.... this could be a silver lining for me this year...

Snaggles-I am going out on a limb here-and feel free to tell me to BOG OFF. Why not just some time off men and let your heart heal? Then, when you are in a better place you'll be able to better acertain if what you are feeling is 'like' 'love' 'lust' or a combination of all.

Like you said- you talked to He Who Shall Not Be Named for hours before you met, so that was NOT instantaneous attraction. You hardly know this new guy! If you want to keep dating for the sake of it, keep it dead casual and keepthe 'physical aspect' out of the equation. Then you'll know for sure if you like HIM and nor just having someone to give you a cuddle.

Being a single Mom is such a hard job (I only lasted 3 months!) and the desire to create normality may be spurning you onto making choices which perhaps are being made for not exactly the right reasons.

I'll shut up now.
