    I recently ran a 98S 1.1 106 as a stop-gap car. In essence it is the same car as the afore-mentioned saxo.

    I ran it for about 6 weeks and did about 2000 miles in it over christmas and new year. Never once did i get below 50mpg out of it. That was in combined driving so some long trips and also pottering about town.

    Economy was calculated by filling car, driving then filling again and working it out the proper accurate way.
