BT Yahoo Broadband usage advice

I've pretty much decided I'm gonna drop down from option 3(20GB) to option 2(6GB). I'm a little worried about going over the limit each month though, and I seen someone on here a few days back that said BT were starting to get heavy-handed with customers that go over. I've had a go at BT's usage calculator:-
http://www2.bt.com/static/i/btretail/consumer/broadbandusage/index.html
I over-calculated a little but it comes back at around 6.6GB. I'm a little confused about what will contribute to my usage, and how much. Here's the main things I do online that I think may put me over:-
Stream music via Napster - I do this almost daily
Download music via Napster - maybe 2 or 3 albums worth per month
Play Pro Evolution Soccer game
Download movies(Sky by broadband) - 3 or 4 per month at the most
I calculated I spend at the most 35 hours online per week, and my E-Mail activities etc are pretty average. Taking all the above into account, do you think I can stay within the 6GB limit? It kinda frustrates me there is such a jump in usage between option 2 and 3 - if option 2 was 10GB instead of 6GB I could completely relax. Also I wish there was something with BT where you could actually see how much you are using. I just don't want to drop to option 2 for them to put me back to option 3 cos I am going over the limit.

As you obviously don't actually know what you actual usage is, you need to measure it and see what it is each month.
Download this small program and you will then know exactly and can then make the right decision.

Hi,
I tried to download prog but it says to use Bit Torrent, any idea where I can find a simple explanation of how to do this.

I used to use netmeter but then bought a new laptop and didn't install it.
BT used to let you see your usage but have stopped and said they will monitor your usage.
They will be quick enough to tell you when you go over limit but I bet they wont advise you don't need the 20GB which I currently have.0 -
Bt's usage policy is a load of rubish, the initially said they would alow you to monitor your usage when they started enforcing the limits they said they wouldnt allow you to do that.
I receintly received a letter saying they want to charge me £104 for over usage in December, there are 4 PC's in the house using the connection and it turns out there was 154GB used in December after 188GB in the november so even upgrading to the 40GB a month option doesnt seem to be an option for me.
I am now searching for an ISP with a much more acceptable usage policy, when I origianlly started using BT as an ISP I paid a monthly fee and local rate for any time used on dial up. I am really annoyed at all the changes they keep making to their terms I am leaving.0 -

BT has been vague in that if you go over occasionally they haven't done anything, but I don't think it is unfair of them to charge you if you consistently go over. I stick rigidly to my download limits and I would be pretty miffed if BT allowed everyone else to get away with taking over 3 times the agreed amount.0 -
See new post I have just made, they wanted £192 off me for over use, tho they originally had told me that as a BT Yahoo customer, I had no limits, they later changed it but did not inform me.
Anyway, they said pay up or leave - so I left!! 5 days after getting my MAc code, changed to Zen Internet. Same price and absolutely NO limits. s'great0
