It's looking like we would both have to go BR...
Surely we would have to advise BT, O2 and SKY if that is the case?

You don't advise anyone...... not unless they are a creditor that you want to get off your back AFTER BR.
If you are planning to keep using these suppliers/providers you don't say anything, keep you bills paid, and carry on as normal.
The banks are the ones to close accounts (ones that aren't BR friendly) you are usually OK with suppliers. I went BR in January and everything has continued as normal. Really. ;)

As others have said, don't say anything to your suppliers unless you have arrears and want these included in your BR.

As for O2 and their clause regarding BR, I'm with O2 for my mobile phone and my contract is still going despite there being such a clause in the contract.

If they do decide to cancel the contract (which they probably won't because they would lose money), you would have no problems switching to Sky Broadband if you are already a TV customer as they don't do another credit check for the broadband - you simply ring them up and add it on to you account.

You will get loads of help and advice on here and sometimes you just want an ear to rant to and there are plenty of those here too.
A few of us have got insider knowledge of certain suppliers and banks and there are even OR staff who post so there is always help of the type you need.
    You need never feel alone!
