When roaming abroad, it can be very reassuring to see the actual operators logo, so that you can make a manual selection because some networks that they have agreements to roam with, charge by the second and other charge by the minute in some countries!

Indeed - I used to ask Orange or O2 in advance about this. Nowadays, I'm more likely to have another SIM, and it was trying one in recently that prompted me to nearly get round to asking. But I probably still needed another trigger to brave the potential wrath of Pooh and Tigger fans.espresso wrote:When roaming abroad, it can be very reassuring to see the actual operators logo, so that you can make a manual selection because some networks that they have agreements to roam with, charge by the second and other charge by the minute in some countries!

Key it in.
If you enter *#06# using the key pad it will display the handsets unique IMEI number.
If you enter *#67705646# using the key pad it should remove the operator logo on that model.
There are many more of these hidden coded, for various other functions like displaying when the phone was made and it's software version etc.
