Managing my rental property myself

Hello,
I have a property I rent out which is currently managed by an estate agent.
I am not happy with the service I have received from the estate agent, and also want to save some money on fees as if it wasnt for the ea fees I would be breaking even, whereas at the moment the rent doesnt cover my mortgage.
For this reason I have decided to manage the tenancy myself, and would like some advice on my responsibilities as a landlady.
Do I need to get a contract professionally drawn up or could i just copy the one the estate agents did?
Many thanks

depends on how old it is - no one can tell you over an internet forum as every contract is different0

the letting agent (NOT the tenancy agreement) allow you to do that?? If so...

Do tell, what other type of agreement is there apart from a landlord/tenant agreement?0 -
Planner asks " Do tell, what other type of agreement is there apart from a landlord/tenant agreement? ".
Well, quite a lot actually...
MoneyAngel stated "I have a property I rent out which is currently managed by an estate agent. " - so there is some sort of agreement, written or not, between MoneyAngel & the Estate Agent". (e.g. I have one with my letting Agent). It governs that relationship - e.g. how often EA does inspections, what EA charges LL for doing whatever etc. etc.
That agreement (or indeed the LL <=> Tenant tenancy agreement) may probit the copying of the LL<=>Tenant tenancy agreement if drawn up by the EA.
Further, it is just possible there is an agreement between the Tenant and the Estate Agent (e.g. Tenant pays EA for £xx for every renewed tenancy agreement.).

Cheers!
