I'm with Primus. Can I make a couple of free calls at the weekend with the 1280 prefix to avoid paying the charge for caller display?

Yes, that's how my Orchid is programmed (all weekend UK 01/02/03 calls get a 1280 prefix).I'm with Primus. Can I make a couple of free calls at the weekend with the 1280 prefix to avoid paying the charge for caller display?Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0 -
How does that fit withCustomers who are billed monthly must make at least two chargeable calls with BT in that month, other wise BT reserves the right to charge £1.71 a month for BT Caller Display.

Just to make the relevant information a bit easier to find:
BT Terms & Conditions; search for BT calling features, paragraph 33.Dagobert0 -
As an aside: do weekend calls on the Unlimited Weekend Plan incur a connection charge?
Do free weekend calls show up on the phone-bill or online?Dagobert0 -
No, inclusive calls do not incur a connection charge and neither do they show up on your bill or online. As an aside: do weekend calls on the Unlimited Weekend Plan incur a connection charge?

So, what proof do you have that these calls have been made, should BT charge for the Caller Display in error?Dagobert0

I also noticed this discussion: BT Unlimited Weekend plan - need to make chargeable calls to get it
In other words: one chargeable call needs to be made in order to qualify for the two inclusive calls in order to qualify for free Caller Display.Dagobert0
