canceling simplicity contract

put daughter on a simplicty contract 15pm + 7.50 bolt on for her unlimited texts as we knew we could cancel easily - or so we thought !
so wrote to them giving notice as we was offered a better double deal when i renewed my contract with orange for 14.99pm inc unlimited txts
so i also canceled the dd i had with o2 to stop them taking the money

today i recive a bill via email from o2 for 2 months unpaid dd amounts + a £15 admin fee -- can they do this ?

and before i go shouting off at them what would you do ?

I cancelled simplicity, you should have just called up to cancel. Although I cancelled by using a PAC code as opposed to just cancelling, I imagine it'd be the same.
