Quote from 3's website for ZTE MF627, it says : "Plus you can use your new best friend as a memory stick, just add a MicroSD card to the slot and load up to 4GB"butterfly )i(0

I can't believe this argument is still going on :rotfl:A freebie would usually be given to the first 1000, not 1000 random people. For this one you had to practically fill in a short form to get a competition entry. If a survey says 100 people will win £25 for filling out the survey, then is that a £25 freebie?
Has anyone heard from Three whether they've been successful or not?
Unlike some people I don't have the time or inclination to be on the PC 24/7 and so to me if they have a giveaway for a limited number and it is based on drawing the names out of a hat if they get more than 1000 applicants I feel that is fairer than missing out completely because you missed the post at 9am and didn't see it till 7pm etc etc.
I also do not think they were harvesting personal details because of the short 24 hour window for applying for the freebie, I'm sure if they were it would have been logical to run it for a week at least to get as many details as poss.
If you call filling the form in with name and address in a comp entry I don't understand how they could send you the dongle without giving them your details
As it happens I have rec. the email and am very happy because if the OP had been in the comps section I wouldn't have seen it and wouldn't have been getting a dongle
The scenario you give about filling in surveys sounds to me like doing a bit of work that you may or may not get paid for and in which case no I wouldn't bother because it seems like a scam to me :rotfl:
Thanks again to the OP and for posting it in freebies

To me...
Something should go in the freebie section if it:
1) Has no spend requirements
2) You are guaranteed the item as long as they still have them in stock. After all, most freebies say, "while stocks last".
Something should go in the competitions section if:
1) There is only a chance you can get said item. After all, it's basically a prize draw if you are not guaranteed the item.
2) The key word is "WIN".
In terms of the dongles:
Sorry, our Big Giveaway has now finished! Between 9am Monday 9th March and 9am Tuesday 10th March we gave you the chance to win one of 1,000 gorgeous Mobile Broadband dongles. But time's now up!
That says it all really.
But is it a big issue? Not really. I can think of many more important things.0 -
i won 1 too,yipeeeee
but am disapointed about the fact that people r making a song and dance about nothing, why bicker?????? ive noticed less quality posts recently and think its down to people who pin point others good intentions.

Quite agree Fireys.ive noticed less quality posts recently and think its down to people who pin point others good intentions.
It's no surprise theres less quality posts when within 1 minute you get the first negative post followed by another moaning its not a free because you have to buy a top up followed by another saying its rubbish etc etc etc.
I bet the nit pickers still applied for one though :rotfl:It's not just about the money0 -
It was a competition for which you had to supply Three with data that can then be used in marketing. Anyone that won/didn't win can expect to be called by Three's sales people.0
