I think for it to be classed as a competition you would have to answer a question or enter a photo for judging etc etc
IMO in this case they are giving 1000 away and rather than doing a first come first served they will give everyone 24 hours to ask for one and if there are more than 1000 it will probably be a random selection.

So to make sure you're in with a chance of winning, just fill out the form on the right and click 'submit'. It’s as simple as that.

Definatly a competition. Theres plent of them out there where you just have to sign upto the newsletter. If it was a freebie it would be the the first 1000 people who sign up who get them.

If it was the first 1000 that would be a competition based on speed of reply !
Rather than waste your time nit picking why don't you spend a bit of time reading up about what defines a competition and what defines a giveaway :rolleyes:

The way you see it lots of threads from the competitions board should be moved over to this board as they are freebies. :rolleyes:

Ultimately, unless you are the moderators it's not up to you where posts go. Yes it may well be better off in competitions but the people with delusions of grandeur who seem to think they are moderators or part of the site team clearly don't have better things to do than pick holes in someone's post just because it may be in the wrong place.

If you think it's in the wrong place either report it or PM a board guide and I'm sure they will move it if they agree

A million people could apply for it and it would still be a freebie but they have only got 1000 so unless you want to write to them and say they shouldn't give any away unless they make it into a competition for you by asking a question you can answer or perhaps send a picture you took for judging as to how cute it is I suggest you leave them to it.
Perhaps you think that threads such as the film screenings should also be in the competition thread because they are limited to numbers too :rolleyes:
