Theres a huge thread on this board about the OCM already, started last summer I think, its when i found out about it.
If you are finding you are getting dryness, add more olive/sunflower oil. The castor oil is the cleanser, the other oil just thins it down enough to work into the pores. Too much castor oil will cause dryness so start at around 20/80 and work up as and when needed
In the mornings after the OCM - a wet facecloth is all thats needed. The times I dont OCM I use a wash off cleanser or exfoliator.
I always moisturise. If you have oily congested skin you need a light textured moisturiser such as liz earles light. Night times I use a natural Vit E oil - just two drops or so.
Littlemiss- do you have very fair skin or do you blush easily? I do go nicely pink but never red. I would tone down the heat a bit just in case you start to get broken veins. You may justhave to spend a bit more time wiping off the oil0 -
Hello, I'm new to OCM and I'm having a terrible acne breakout. Does anyone know if its the gunk clearing out of my skin, or is it the oils? I don't know whether to persevere or go back to the trusty dermalogica. Thanks0

I would like to say that its your skin cleaning itself BUT I have read people post here that they have had severe acne breakouts from using the OCM
So its up to you...
If it were the oils working their magic you would see an improvement within a few days0 -
If you can afford it, have a facial at a beauty salon - when I had one for the first time in my life I was totally amazed how the black heads go and the pores close up. Well worth the money. After that I just keep up a cleanse, tone and moisturise routine myself and my skin looks better now than it had for many a year.0

Thanks for the replies, I've also developed a random but sizeable patch of eczema. I think it maybe an allergy to the daffodils in the house, so these have been given to a friend! I can't say I'm overly thrilled with the appearance of my skin, but it is considerably less oily. I'm going to give it a few more weeks yet, and hope to report back some excellent results!0

I still use it about 3 times a week - when I remember

Its like every regime going, when you start and seeing the best results, you use it religiously. Come that you get used to good skin, you only start to use it again when skin starts looking congested again
I use it every night.0
