  • If those pore strips work for you, like the biore type ones, they are £1;99 in home bargains. or i saw on ellen last week that apparently a layer of PVA glue left to dry then peeled off does the same thing!

    Not tried that yet though!

Right, I have been doing the oil thing and it works great!!

I massage it into my face for a few mins then hold the hot cloth over for a few secs then wipe, and repeat until oil is gone, then moisurise.

My minging pores look so clean and I don't know if its because they're not full of gunk, but I swear they look smaller :j:T

  • I've done this oil cleansing method twice and haven't noticed any results, am I being too impatient? If anything my pores are looking bigger :(

Also does anyone else's face go bright red with it? The water doesn't feel hot though. Should I use lukewarm water?

You need HOT water so you get a steaming going.

Massage the oil for a few minutes then wring out your cloth in hot water and place over your face till it cools and wipe off the oil. I repeat till face is clean of oil. Finish with a cool water splash

    My castor oil arrived today!

Will be reading up how to make up the mixture and give it a try for a week each evening!

Can't wait to try it and see if it helps remove the toxins in my skin which flare up considerably each few weeks

That's what I did but my face went so red it looked burnt. Is that normal?

Ordered my castor oil at local chemist today, as I've also tried Boots and Superdrug, who don't sell it (not in my area anyway). Gonna use olive oil with it. Hope it works cos I hate my nose and I also get a few on my chin and round my lip.
I use nose strips from Home Bargains, but although they lift the gunk out, my nose is back to square 1 the next day! I'm surprised this method isn't more widely known if it's so effective, though...........

p.s does anyone put moisturiser on their nose? I'd be scared of bunging the pores up again! :D

Lucy that is the same oil that i have it was around 98p from sainsburys! Well i have done for 2 nights now as we were away start of week so tonight will be night 3! last time i did it my skin was a bit dry so going to add some more sunflower oil and see if that helps..i was also wondering the same as pillypilla about the moisturiser and what you wash your face with the morning after?
    thanks
