  • Feeling very proud of myself as, with the exception of those DD's I didn't spend a single penny! I'm pleased as I only got paid last week and I decided I was starving at 3.00, didn't have any change on me, considered nipping to the cashpoint, decided against it as the tenner would vanish and then promptly forgot about the snacks. Just got in and am having a lovely bowl of homemade stew. I will make sure I bring in a bit of extra food for my packed lunch tomorrow - and maybe leave my card at home!

Ms London - I went travelling in 2000 for 18 months, it was the best experience of my whole life and you will have an amazing time, I'd go again in a flash. Stupid thing was when I came home my only debt was £2K on a card with a £3K limit, wish I'd stayed in the travelling mentality rather than racking up thousands! I wasn't even paying rent when I got home... At least when ever I get down I can think of the time I had, and use the motivation to keep clearing the debt to go away again!

I spent nothing today :T which is great as the radio kept going on about sweets and I had a massive craving for Jelly Tots and Flying Saucers!
  • Well on my first day of trying this I have spent nothing :A - But my hubbie has not come home yet so I may just be tempting fate!

I would have spent something if I hadn't sent the Tesco man off with the wine order he was planning to deliver as they wouldn't accept my extra clubcard points  so perhaps it's not such a bad thing!
You laugh because I'm different - I laugh because you're all the same

I had only spent £7 in Sainsburys on the after weekend top up of bits, and had avoided the temptation of going downtown...but then DS1 rang from town to say that Wilkinson's wouldn't let him buy the spray paints that he needs for his GCSE graphics project tomorrow, so I had to go into town and meet him to get them, and succumbed to the temptation of a book on the way back. Oh dear. But it was reduced from £20 to £13, and I had £7 book tokens, so I only spent £6. And I may just conveniently forget the £20 seed order that I posted this afternoon...

Perhaps I had better just stay in bed tomorrow.

DS1 still off school today (teacher training day!) Took him & his friend to new local indoor play centre & then for lunch at McDonalds:
    1. £8.50 entry to play centre (for 2 hours+ play)
    2. £3.00 on 2 hot chocolates
    3. £2.61 on milk/drinks at Co-Op
    4. £11.06 at McDonalds for 2 happy meals & 2 McChicken sandwich meals.
    TOTAL: £25.17

However, my mum (who came with us) gave me £5 towards the food and I got money from the sale of my travel cot to a fellow school mum - £15.00 - so actual spending today was £5.17!!!!

Unfortunately I got paid today which means I've spent around £1500!!! But this is all for shopping, bills, etc, and a great chunk towards my debts!!! I set up an account alongside my normal account purely for direct debits, and put the whole months worth in there! Now I have just my personal allowance and shopping money left! So I aim to have a spend free few days! (until I need to eat!)
