When I set out for work this morning I had really good intentions to be good today, then got a phonecall from my friend to say her mother had died this morning (we knew it wasn't going to be long) and all my saving went out the window. I found myself in the shop and I'd splurged on a bottle of coke 90p and a chocolatey thing 50p.
I've got a fiver on me so that will probably go in the pot towards getting my friend a card and flowers - she is a friend from work.
But things aren't all bad on the money front, a colleague from another part of the company is going to pop to my office shortly to buy my old PS1 for £12 and that will go on my 1 to 1 swimming lesson this evening!
£1.40 (plus £5 for card/flowers) spend isn't bad on a day when spirits are low....0 -
I was going to say nothing, then realised I spent £25.00 on petrol on the way to work this morning. Mind you, it was at 7.30am so I can be excused for thinking it was another day's spend - I'm usually still in bed at that time!! OH's new job means I now get woken at 6 every morning by Kerrang on the radio. :doh:Its nice to be important but more important to be nice!0

£1.95 on a large cappucino this morning on the way home as a reward for finishing a series of night shifts!
Just sat here looking a reciept for Tesco OH spent yesterday - £18 on absolute rubbish! The only thing we needed were carrots that were 27p. Trying to stay calm and think of how I am going to 'talk to him' about it without sounding like his mother!Debtfree JUNE 2008 - Thank you MSE:T0 -

Spent £2.38 in Budgens on 4 warm fresh mini baguettes  and 2 smoothies (bogof).
Spent £6.29 in Iceland on petit filous yogs (bogof), big pack of turkey ham, tangerines and a 5 pack of Ripple bars.
Took DD's old clothes to the clothing swap and managed to get her a lovely coat (two coats zips broke today!! ) and have 9 more free items to pick at another time (it was packed in there so left asap!).
I asked the CS in Budgens for a £2 coin so that's another one for the collection! :jMortgage-free wannabe!0 -
Nothing so far today, but need to fill up the car on the way home, so that'll be £20.00. Shame, as I was planning a no-spend day (target on 3 this week).
Ah well, it is all budgeted for, so that is OK.Personal ISA Contributions Challenge - current £0 (as at 1 April 2014) / target £15,000 (deadline 31 Mar 2015)0 -

My boss has just said that she will pay for the card and flowers for my friend out of her own money which is lovely. So that means my only spend today is £1.40.0 -
After planning to have a no spend day - I couldn't resist chocolate chop cookies in Boots for 43p - also bought two creme eggs but I paid for them with points (I had 3p too little to pay for the cookies with points - boo).
I only went to Boots to pick up a free mother and baby kit (thanks freebies board!) for a friend of mine who is having a baby (hopefully today, she's being induced at 4pm) and didn't get the kit (have to go to a bigger branch) - but spent the above! Will I ever learn?

Off out tonight for a rare night out so probably will spend a further £25 no more than that- just cant be done!! Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
