ps... me and my partner only have a shopping bill of about £70 per month.... your cats eat better than us coolio!
I use okoplus. It clumps and is about £23 for 40l. I do a total switchout every 10 days, picking lumps out everyday.
I know, until I wrote it down I didn't quite realise. When they are adults the cost will lessen as I will try and throw them on the Tesco luxury but until then I feel they should have their (expensive) kitten nutrients. Funny because I'm sure cats survived just fine before without the whole kitten range. I won't mention tonite is boiled fish nite.0 -
its cheap to keep a cat my cat eats a box of complete cat food a week bout £1, i wouldnt recomend wet meat coz ul end up with a fussy cat who wont want the meat if its been there for a few hours and it smells in the summer! I wouldnt bother with all these comercial toys a piece of string will entertain a cat for hours any age! the only "toy" i buy is cat nip which i put in a sock and tie up. Worming tablets are cheap if you goto places like wilkinsons and Frontline is cheap online, bout £30 a year.
Also if you feed dry food ur cat wil apreciate the smal treats u give him like bits of fish/meat. But not everyday else they will leave there food!
ive personaly brought loads of cat scratchers and they've never used them, but did like a piece of wood, when thety go out they will use fences and trees.they will use anything as a bed. ur bed, cushions, clothes, washing basket ect so dont bother buying a bed.
It all depends on ur budget if ur rich you can spoil ur cat if ur not then dont they will still love you!0 -
I don't bother frontlining monthly during the winter, I do it every three months and use Indorex on everything soft once per year.
I quite often don't bother frontlining monthly in the warmer months either, three monthly seems to be just fine. I've had bouts of fleas many years ago when Frontline wasn't heard of, but then I discovered Indorex and fingers crossed, no flea problems since
