Concealed Cisterns

Hello there,

I was hoping to call upon the experience of folk that know a thing or two about plumbing.

I'm in the thrones of having my bathroom re-designed and am keen to have a back-to-wall WC. From what I understand, I don't need an installation frame to facilitate this, rather a concealed cistern.

My bathroom is on the upper floor, below the attic. Is it possible to install a concealed cistern in the attic?

Please note I'm having a new combi-boiler fitted downstairs and hope to do away with the pipe box by means of a durgo v/v.

If anyone can shed some light on this for me, I'd really appreciate it as this would prevent the need for an access hatch in the bathroom.

TIA
Neil

You would need to access the cistern to flush it.

Unless you had an old fashion "Thunder Box" with a long chain.
I used to be indecisive but now I am not sure.
  • Hey Ariba10,

Yes, I'd thought of that, so if this presents the only problem, I suppose I could just install a nice stainless steel pull-chain via the ceiling.

Would you happen to know if there is anything on the market that would allow a fllush plate to be fitted instead?

Would either of the above interfere with me installing a durgo valve?

    Thanks again
    Neil
